please help me through this. do you need a root canal. my mom says no. but im trying to make sure ... i dont think i do, maybe a cap or a filling. but i need all the true details.

THIS IS A FRACTURE DEEP INTO THE TOOTH. THE PINKISH STUFF IS YOUR NERVE. VERY RARELY A ROOT CANAL CAN BE AVOIDED, BUT IN MOST CASES A ROOT CANAL IS NEEDED.
by the way is your mom a dentist thhat she absolutely knows you won't need a root canal?

You won't need a root canal, they can fix the tooth that you broke, a root canal is when you have the dentist clean the root out of the dead tooth(that causes intense pain), I've had 3 done, and know that this is not the case for you. Good luck!

no i dont think its a root canal, i had to have one and i knew because my tooth constantly hurt really bad, idk about the half pink part, but i think all you need would be a cap of some sort, i just know a root canal is because the ROOTS are infected
