need to get two teeth pulled. I might need lower braces but I doubt it. I'm just worried about the pulling teeth. I've asked a few people if it hurts and only one person said it would hurt. Everyone i asked has had it done before. I just want to know if it will hurt or not and how the procedure is done. Please help. I'm a bit worried. Thank you

I have full top and bottom dentures that I just got 3 weeks ago. My dentist says that I have bone for the implants and we plan to start that in 4 months. What I want to understand though is how to I get the implants (teeth) that stay in all the time versus still having to remove nightly? How many implants would it take on the top and bottom to have a full mouth of teeth that stay in all the time?

My mom only has a few of her top row and bottom row front teeth, my Auntie always has toothaces, my other aunt has fake teeth, I have perfect teeth, I do brush them when I get to. And sometimes, I floss. But I get some occasional toothaches. When I was 8-10, I used to always go to the dentist and I've lost all my baby teeth. When I was young I ate alot of candy, but I don't no more. I don't have any more baby teeth. I'm worried of loosing a tooth and looking weird or loosing all my teeth, help please?

My daughter's dentist put white fillings in her mouth to repair her teeth. She said that they would be sensitive for a while, but it has been two weeks and she says that it still hurts to bite and chew on the side they were put on. Is this normal? What treatment would they do next if it is still sensitive to hot and cold?

I floss while looking in the mirror, and no matter how I do it, I always get bits of food and gunk all over the mirror. Does this happen to you? Am I doing something wrong? Also, I hate handling the stinky stuff with my fingers. Is that avoidable while using dental floss?

Last week I woke up with really bad tooth pain, so I went to the dentist and he took x-rays and it showed my wisdom tooth was trying to come out but the tooth next to it is blocking it. It hasn't even got to breaking skin yet, which was causing the swolleness and pain. I'm supposed to have my wisdom tooth pulled out tomorrow but since the visit to the dentist I've had no pain at all and am trying to figure out if I should go or not since there isn't pain anymore. What would happen if the tooth just stays down there?

I have been having severe tooth pain for several days now. I haven't eaten or slept very well since it started. my face is swollen and ora-gel isn't working at all. I put my fingers on the tooth and it moves slightly side to side. Would it be bad to take some needle-nose pliers and pull it out? I'm 37 years old and have never had problems with my teeth before. Would I be able to stop the bleeding myself? (no health or dental insurance!!!)

I got them out about 4 or 5 days ago, and on the 3rd day my bottom left started hurting. i shrugged it off, and took more painkillers. when i first got home from the surgery, i rinsed the blood out of my mouth becuase i was so drugged after, i didn't hear them say not to. i kept forgetting about the no straw rule, but i didnt drink out of a straw until about the 3rd day. the rest of my mouth is completely fine, but the bottom left one has been hurting alot. painkillers don't help it out that much. last night i couldn't go to sleep because it was causing a throbbing feeling around my ear area. i know those are symptoms, but i'm kind of doubting i have it becuase the pain is tolerable, for the most part. it's not horrible, but it's still hurting worse than everything else.

what do you guys think? what should i do about the dry socket? is it really a serious thing, or can i let it heal by itself?

for someone with braces who had to relocate, would their braces have to be taken off by their current dentist (even if it wasn't time yet) before they leave because they were told their next dentist wouldn't handle a patient who's dental treatment was started by another? is that true? is that how it is? can't dentists endorse their patients along with all the health history, x-rays etc.?

I have a coworker that went through some very scary years as a meth addict. He has been clean for over four years. He cleaned up and got a job when his little boy was born. He is such a wonderful father, and a hard worker. His problem. After the son was born, his wife left him for another addict. He is a single father, and does not date, because his teeth have gone so bad from the drug abuse, he fears no one would have him. He does not earn much (approx. $8.00/hr) and does not have dental insurance. Does anyone know how to go about getting him some help? His teeth are causing health issues and he wants to look better so his son will not be embarrassed by him.
