i am having my # 32 wisdom tooth removed on friday, i don't want iv sedation, yeah i am cheap I don't want to pay the 425 bucks for the sedation..lol my surgeon says that he may have to cut the tooth in half to remove it , the tooth is fully erupted, but one of the cusps is broken off at the gumline. I think it may be fused to the bone at the roots, what would be your recommendation local or iv sedation, i am not a ninny I had both my kids natural, and i work in the industry so going to the dentist doesn't cause me any anxiety.

I had my lower wisom tooth taken out last friday, it was horrid. I was in the chair for an hour and a half and it had to be drilled many times because the dentist couldn't get it out. So a wk on, i havn't had stitches removed yet, half my mouth and tongue are still numb. I havn't been able to eat solids for a week, my mouth feels like something died inside it.
I asked the dentist and he said because of what had to be done, they put in a lot of anaesthetic and it may take a week for it to go. I can't talk or eat properly and it's still painfull.
Anyone else had a similar experience?

I had a broken wisdom tooth yanked, and there is some swelling and infamation. The Vicodin does not help that. It's been 4 days. I'm thinking the doc gave me a pretty healthy injury when he pulled it.
Thanks.

I clean my teeth and rinse before going to bed each night (well, nearly each). In the morning, in the space between my inner cheeks and my teeth, and around my teeth, there is always a white membranous coating thick enough to be chewy. When I miss cleaning the night before, it doesn't form. What could this be?

I just got them pulled out 2 days ago... why is one side hurting more than the other side? I feel like the right side is getting sucked in, while the other side is just sore... I don't want to get dry sockets or whatever... when will the pain go away? how long until i eat solid food? when is it okay to gargle with listerine? Do i still have to apply mouth pressure with the cotton paper they gave me, even tho the bleeding stopped? Also the drugs seem to be working very strongly on the right side, like its really numb and feels like its getting sucked in, is that normal?

My teeth are very straight. I have never had braces and they are just lined up perfectly. Just I do have one problem that is not a problem with the dentist, but a problem with me. My 2 front teeth are longer than all the others. They don't stick out because they are straight, but I feel people just stare at them. Does this make me look like I have buck teeth?! Should I be worried? Is there anything I can do?
