i mean i brush well and the balls are a little smaller than pepper balls? they kind of just sit in the back of the ducts [i assume, i havent like, dug in there] and eventualyl just come out from a cough, etc. sorry i dont think this is helpful

HELLO,
PEOPLE OFTEN THINK THE SINUSES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THESE. THESE STONE-LIKE, SMELLY GRANULES ARE CALLED TONSILITHS OR TONSIL STONES.
THEY ARE NA RURALLY PRODUCED BY THE TONSILS AND MOST PEOPLE JUST END UP SWALLOWING THEM W/O KNOWING ANYTHING FURTHER. FOR THOSE TIMES THEY DO HAPPEN TO COME OUT THEY USUALLY COME OUT WHEN SOMEONE SNEEZES OF COUGHS.
ONE THING THAT CAN BE DONE TO LOOSEN THESE FROM THE TONSILAR CRYPTS IN THE THROAT IS TO USE A WATERPIK TO GENTLY IRRIGATE THEM FROM THE TONSILS. DON'T TRY TO USE OBJECTS TO POKE AT YOUR TONSILS WITH OBJECTS TO GET THEM LOOSE. THIS MAY HARM YOUR TENDER TONSILS. BE SURE TO DRINK PLENTY OF WATER TO KEEP WELL HYDRATED.

My girlfriend has the same thing. She says she was once told by her doctor that her tonsils need to come out, and she believes that's why the deposits collect in the back of her mouth.

Either way, what it could be is tonsillolith. Check the wikipedia link below for more info...

I can't find the answer now, but I did see the explanation for it while doing research on halitosis (bad breath). It is common and has a medical name.

Good luck!

I get them when I have a really bad sinus infection w/ throat drainage--I'm not sure if you have that or not, also they do contribute to bad breath I gargle listerine to help loosen them out and to kill the infection-- Sorry I do not know what they are called

Google "tonsil cheese" and you will find lots of comments. They're harmless. Can cause bad breath, tho.

It can be cause by infected dripping sinuses. Your doctor will give you an antibiotic and that will stop it even for a few months.
