I just had a bonding replaced on the fly as I was leaving town in a few hours when it came out. Now there is a bit of whitish goo stuck to my cheeks near the tooth that was bonded.

Hi, I had a root canal done on monday 06/11, and it is 2 days later and my tooth feels af if someone punched me really hard in the mouth. The tooth hurts, it is one of my front teeth. Is this normal and when should I be concerned? I know I had a procedure done and that it will hurt for a few days, but how many days is too many? and how long after the procedure should i get it restored. My dentist told me to come back in 3-4 months. Is this normal or should I go back sooner. This is my first root canal so I am confused.

I don't smoke or anything or drink. Or chew tobacco so i am sure its not cancer. But It doesn't hurt. But where that spot is there is just this awful bitter taste. Its on the right corner of my tongue could it be from a bad tooth? Or what could it be.

I have Veneers on my top two front teeth. One tooth was knocked out (a small bit of real tooth remained), the other was cracked. The one that is missing has rods and filling in place behind the Veneer. My question is this. I just had to have them replace (within six months of getting them). The both chipped and broke. Should I assume Veneers are very tender and I will forever have to not eat certain things and be very careful with them? They look incredible, but I am feeling like I wish I would have gotten caps. What are some pointers for having Veneers?

My wisdom teeth tend to start coming thru every time I get stressed, which is very annoying. They'll never come thru properly, just cause me a lot of pain as they push against my gum for a few days. At the moment, the side of my face is swollen and it hurts quite a bit. I've tried bonjella, but does anyone have any other remedies. I'm hesitant to use painkillers as I'm supposed to be out tonight partying and will be having a few drinks!!

Thanks in advance ppl!!

I am going for a job interview as a Trainee Dental Nurse within a practice. I have no experience in this field and it is a complete change of career for me. I am really excited at the thought of getting this job and was wondering if anyone had any advice/tips for me for getting a job within this field? Thank you!

Okay, so I just found out that I have to get a root canal. One: I hate detisst, doctors, hospitals anything to do with medical stuff. I hate surgeries, operations you name it, I hate it. Luckly while they do this I have to be put to sleep for my own good and theres 9trust me you don't want me to get into detail). Put to put me to sleep I have to take an IV. I can hardly stand watching someone get a shot anywhere. I HATE anything to do with puntering skin something coming in or out of me. Yes by now you must think that I am a very hateful person but Really anything to do with health involving midical or go-2-skool 4 it stuff is somthing I cry very easy over. When the dentist told me I had to bite myself, until my hand began to bleed to keep from crying. If that isn't enough, my left side of my face is swollen due 2 that danmed infection. Thabkfully antibiotics have taken it down. Thank-you Christ. So if theres anything that I can do 2 calm my verves cause I will start balling right-

I went to the dentist this morning to check out my toothache. He suggested I either get a root canal or get my tooth removed but I can't do it until I've given birth since I'm at the end of my pregnancy. He did some "emergency" work on my tooth which involved drilling n stuff but I don't know what he did. The anaesthetic worked for a while but once that wore off the pain has come back. I can't sleep now because if I lie down my tooth ache comes back. I've taken paracetamol but I really don't know if it does anything. Can anyone suggest anything I can do/take for the pain??

The toothache gets painful to the point where at times I can feel it affecting something towards my ear, or else the muscle on my neck

I've been rinsing my mouth with warm salt water as well to try to dull the pain when it starts again but the effect of that doesn't seem to be working now.

I'm a dental student. When we start injecting local anesthetic, I am going to do it to myself eventually to see if I am doing a good job.

Similarly, when we learn to administer nitrous oxide, I am going to try that too. I think a professional should know as much as they can about what they put their patients through and while I cannot perform procedures on myself, I can administer these things to myself and have an idea about what the patient is going through

Anyone have nitrous oxide before? Im aware of the chemical and pharmacological identities of the compound. Before I try it, I'm just trying to find out if I'm missing anything. Anyone think of anything?

I went to the dentist today with toothache in a tooth that I got a pretty big filling in about 9 months ago. Until the weekend, I hadn't had any problems after getting the filling, but it started to hurt on Friday and got progressively worse. I went to the dentist today, he took out the filling and did a little bit more drilling, then put some kind of medicated filling in the tooth.

I have to go back next week to see whether I need a root canal in it or if I can just get a filling in it again. Why would I need a root canal in it and why do I have to wait for a week before he will know if I do or not?

I already have a dentist appointment, but trying to find out why I have a large swollen gum in my back teeth. I'm a hug popcorn eater and am thinking it might be a popcorn kernel that logged its way between my tooth and gum causing the large swelling. Does this sound accurate???
