Sorry, but I don't think there's any plan that will cover pre-existing conditions in the first six months. Most plans will cover them eventually, but only after you've been a certain length of time without treatment or problems with the pre-existing condition. Your COBRA is your best bet to continue coverage (if you can afford it)

There is a law called (HIPPA) Health Insurance Privacy and Portability Act, that allows one to carry over coverage from one company to another, wherein new company will cover (at their rate) any pre-existing conditions the old insurance company covered. However, you only have 60 days to find new insurance.

Most states sell insurance through Blue Cross / Slue Shield. These plans cover pre-existing conditions. However, you have to have them begin the day after your old plan ends.
