duz wearin braces cause any type of side effects? duz wearin retainers cause any type of side effects?

I am getting braces and my dentist said that if you dont brush correctly the braces can stain your teeth and leave permanent marks... A retainer may be a bad choice though because you can forget to put it in...P.S. BRACES ARE NOT UGLY....hope i help

You will need to take good care of your teeth. It is a lot of maintenance. That is really the main concern. Food tends to get stuck in it, youd on't want to keep it there.
Depending on particulal shape of the braces/retainers you need, you might find it more difficult to pronounce correctly.
