I have had braces for about 4 months and haven't really had any problems until now. I used to have an eye tooth (not sure of the technical name, sorry.) the was crooked and sort of jutted forward and slightly to to the right in front of my front tooth. Since I've had the braces, this has come down and straightened out, but I've noticed that the space between these two teeth has become EXTREMELY sensitive to cold and heat over the last week and a half. Any time I drink or eat anything cold or hot, I get this pain that just shoots through my mouth until it decides to calm down.

Does anyone know how to make this stop? From what I can tell, it's not a cavity, as it hasn't shown up on my dental x-rays. The entire tooth is sensitive due to shifting, and best I can figure is that the tooth has had a spot exposed that's not used to being exposed and is very sensitive, but how do I make it stop?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have had one for about two and a half years now, and I have my surgery scheduled for three weeks from now. But I've been reading up on all of the different types of infections linked to an abscessed tooth and I must say, it is freaking me the $@#! out..

like could you just push the ring through the part of your lip that you wanted to have pierced?...becuz i have a kind of phobia of needles but i really want this done and i was wondering if a lip ring would work just as well since you would get the perfect size and everything?

I got them cut out a few days ago, but ever since the day after the extraction I have felt very nasueous. Could the nasuea have anything to do with the wisdom teeth extraction, or would it be unrelated?

will be fully out then or just about, he said then I can make the decision pull them and aparently at that point it will be easy and painless (in comparison to doing it now) or just fill them since he says that they are straight and since they have all finally come trough the gum it should be ok. My concern is it gave me a minor infection as it came in and isnt waiting 6 months with cavities bad? Any opinions would you keep em? pull em? or wait and see like the dentist says? By the way he was a dental surgeon

My older sister just had to get her wisdom teether pulled. Turns out she had 5 not 4! She's in a lot of pain.. so we've been freezing washcloths. The cloths seem to melt as soon as she uses them. m being a good sister and taking care of her while my mom is at a funeral! LOL! Well, I feel really bad for her.. any ideas other then frozen wash cloths?

My daughter is 6yrs old. Last July or August the front, upper tooth on the right side became loose! she was so excited..her first loose tooth. Well, since then she has lost 3 other teeth(both bottom front and the upper front-left side). the prob is that the first original tooth is still loose. plus, the one next to it has now become looose. We thought, 2 months ago, that this top one would finally come out cause it got real looose. However, it sems to have tighned up so now ts barely wiggiling. My prob is that the adult tooth has started to grow in BEHIND the loose one. It is almost fully grown in. It actully looks as though she has 2 teeth in the same place.
My questions are this? have you ever heard of this happning before? Will this cause her to need braces? and, how can i fix this? the loose tooth titened back up, so i cant pull it out. Is it normal for 1 tooth to be loose so long? should i be concerned?
She is not complaining of any tooth pain

I am starting week 2 of a "dentist strength" whitening system. As they explained would happen, I have super sensitive teeth. I am seeing results but I am wondering how long they really last. I have given up red wine (sigh) for the time being and cut back on coffee. (I usually only have 1 cup a day anyways) Any personal experience or advice or suggestions?
Thanks

Is this normal?

I had 3 wisdom teeth extracted about 9 days ago, and my bottom right last molar has the gums around it sort of sore and inflamed. I saw the surgeon two days ago for my follow-up checkup, and he said I was healing well, and didn't mention that it was a problem or anything, but I didn't specifically ask about it.

Is it normal for my gums to still be inflamed? I don't have a fever or terrible or pain or anything. I haven't noticed any blood or pus, which I understand would be common for an abscess. Should I try and see him tomorrow for an emergency?
