Have you used a tooth whitening system from your dentist?

I am starting week 2 of a "dentist strength" whitening system. As they explained would happen, I have super sensitive teeth. I am seeing results but I am wondering how long they really last. I have given up red wine (sigh) for the time being and cut back on coffee. (I usually only have 1 cup a day anyways) Any personal experience or advice or suggestions?

In my work in a dental office, we have had many patients ask these same questions. While you will experience the best results staying away from red wine and coffee, you do not have to give them up completely. If possible, drink through a straw, brush your teeth, or at least rinse your mouth with water after consuming any staining food or beverage. Depending on your intake of these items, the results will vary. Over time, you will need to "touch up" your whitening by wearing your trays with the whitening solution for one or two days. There is no set schedule for touch ups. When you start to feel dingy, pop in your trays. As always, call your dentist if you have any questions.

Dark foods and Coffee have a detrimental effect on tooth color!,best to avoid all when bleaching!
I found that my dentist own version of tooth bleaching was the same and far more expensive than what could be purchased on the open market!
Well worth spending the time to consider all possibilities.
Over-sensitive teeth sometimes react negatively with some bleaching methods!
Best to test before committing!

I used the Crest White Strips for a Week twice a day and My dentist thought I had been seeing someone else.The results were spectacular for me, and I basically eat and drink what ever I please and there's basically no up- keep, and it was much cheaper.
