What you probably have is called a "Canker sore" they are small white sores on the lips or inside the mouth. THey are very painful. Many people who get them get periodic outbreaks of them their whole lives (I'm one of those people).

Wash your mouth three times a day with Listerine. If the sore is still small, it will go away in a day or two. Once they get a certain size, only time will take them away. They do go away on their own, usually in 2 weeks. But it's miserable during those two weeks.

If it's something like the picture here http://www.usc.edu/hsc/dental/opath/Guides/BoardQs/SB_09A.html
then it's a canker sore

I been living with them my whole life. The longest I go without one is a couple months. I can also get 6 or 7 at a time. I have found that they are easier to prevent than to cure.

Next time you feel that one is starting, even while it's sooo tiny.. I mean as soon as you notice ANYTHING, do the Listerine thing for a couple days. It will nip it in the bud, keep ing it from ever getting big and super-painful

I'm not sure, but I think you may be referring to mouth sores instead of ulcers. Anyway, I would recommend you read the linked article to see what type you have and how to treat it.
