Dental bleeching will not help because of the enamel. Can you tell me other possibilities that a Dentist could do and how much would it cost?

I have braces on the top. and today they gave me a retainer too. but it makes me gag when i hold my tongue regular. it goes behind me teeth and its plastic. on the sides it has metal to hold it on to my mouth. its removeable. but it makes me gag when i hold my tongue naturally and try to swallow. is it too big, do i have to hold my tongue differently, or will i get used to it? did you have the same problem and what did u do to fix it?

I hate my teeth and I don't like to smile alot. I brush them with whiteinting toothpaste 3 times a day so they can get whiter. But it's not working. I want to have a whiter and brighter smile.

I have had no cavities ever, no gum issues, occasional plaque which I eradicate with Listerine and never any pain or "loose teeth."

Lately I have noticed that my wisdom tooth in the upper right molar, which has been visible in x-rays for the last 13 years, may be starting to break the gum surface. Am I a late bloomer for this? I am almost 30 years old. Can these teeth "come in" problem free? Everyone I know had to deal with getting them removed at age 20. Again I am having no pain nor discomfort.

I just came back from the dentist and it looks like I've had some sort of hole in the side of my tooth for awhile, it's a back molar on the right side. I just noticed it and went to the dentist today. I'm going back tomorrow to have it fixed and the dentist said that the cavity is getting really close to the roots and he won't be able to tell if i need a root canal until he gets inside the tooth tomorrow to try and fill it. Worst case scenario i need a root canal so i just want to be prepared for whatever! I haven't been on any type of antibiotics and my tooth doesnt hurt at all its just that i have this cavity that is in a funny spot.

I'm not trying to "whiten" my crowns only the teeth around them. Will these whitening agents have a negative affect on my crowns?

one of my top teeth have been hurting and it feels a little loose...what does that mean? would I have to have it pulled or something else to it? my parents say that my tooth might be hollow or have a really bad cavity and thats the reason why my tooth feels like its loose. I haven't been to the dentist yet b/c I have no insurance or money to pay for my visit. oh um...would grinding against that tooth make it even more loose? help me out please, I don't wanna have to have it pulled I mean I'm only 20 :(.

It doesn't hurt, it feels a little 'weird' when it pops too hard. I read other questions on here about people with tmj, but i'm wondering if people that have this also notice that their face is more asymmetrical than normal? My teeth are crooked and it seems to me that they dont fit like they should, although an overbite or underbit is not obvious. Is this condition serious, or can one live their whole life with this untreated and not suffer any consequences aside from hearing the popping and having a little bit of crooked face?
