This thing is called invisalign. Mine cost me $1000 and it sure did work. I only had to have them on for 8 months so not too bad. Hope it helps!

It's called Invisalign.
According to my orthodontist, who is Invisalign certified, in my case traditional braces and Invisalign would cost the same. However, Invisalign would not fix all the alignment problems I had. It could fix the problem that brought me to her (an upper tooth hitting in the wrong place on the tooth below, causing pain). But I also had "midlines" which didn't match up (upper vs. lower). To pull the lower teeth over, so the midline would be at the center of my mouth, I needed the wire. This was a cosmetic issue, not affecting my bite. But it didn't cost any more money or take any more treatment time, so I got the traditional braces.
In my case, total treatment cost about $5,000. My dental insurance paid 50% up to $2,000. So it cost me $3,000. Remember, most orthodontists will offer you a monthly payment plan spread out over 2 years or so.

I think what you're thinking of is Invisalign. It is more expensive and is not guaranteed to work as completely as regular braces. In a lot of cases, those who used Invisalign had to return after their treatment should have been complete to receive regular braces to actually completely straighten the teeth. If you some have severely crooked teeth, Invisalign will not help you.
Price-wise, it really depends on the dentist. I've found that it is usually 1.5 to 2 times more expensive than regular braces.

It's called Invisalign, it's usually expensive compared to braces, but of course the cost will depend on the severity of your condition.
when you visit your dentist he'll take an impression for you.. and decide later how long the treatment will take and then gives you the aligners customized for you one by one, mainly 1 every 2 weeks.. until you achieve the best smile you can get..
the main advantage of it compared to braces is that it's invisible (many people wont even notice that you're wearing it..
and the main disadvantage is cleaning it.. and since it's removable you might loose it..

I think between $100 and $200 depends on the kind of retainer and the dentist.
and you can just search the web for info on it.
