Yeah, they're called supernumerary teeth. I knew someone who had a full set of dentures and went back because they weren't fitting properly and had 7 more teeth growing in underneath. Weird.
P.S. I think the sore throat is not related, but you could have an infection in that tooth. Check with your dentist for antibiotics and to see what he recommends for that wisdom tooth.

I doubt if you are re-growing your tooth, you get two wisdom teeth on each side and in the upper and lower jaw, so it will be your other one coming through, the sore throat is probably connected, many babies get colds, runny noses and high temperatures when they are teething, which is what you are doing!

if you think it is infected or it gets really troublesome, see your dentist or doctor, they can decide if it should come out or not, sometimes wisdom teeth seem to attempt to grow then give up for a while, then come back for another go later on, so if its painful get it seen to!

Some people can grow more teeth than they ought to. No doubt in the future we will all be able to, by just being injected into the gums with stem cells, which will grow into a tooth if we lose one. Oh joy!

You shouldn't be growing extra wisdom teeth! but there is a condition called supernumeracy where other teeth grow in front or behind your other teeth. Often these teeth are extracted as they aren't functional and can cause problems. You should go and see your dentist to find out whats going on!

Yes. I am 26, and I just cut a new tooth right in front of one of my bottom teeth. I have a new respect for teething babies. It hurt like a b*****!

I grew another front tooth behind the one that is there and had to have it surgically removed. It's rare but can happen!
