my parents dental insurance wont take care of me because im 20 and not in college. my parents can't afford to pay for my college education and I refuse student loans because only kids that are going to college to be doctors can pay student loans back on time with their expected salary.

I need root canals, and like 4 crowns and recently I noticed little dark marks behind/inbetween my three front bottom teeth! like where I floss.

im so angry I wish dental insurance was free for young people like me or that my parents insurance would cover me...only my dad works and he has so many bills and can't afford to pay for my needed dentist work without insurance.

my only choice is to wait seven to eight years when my boyfriend the love of my life! earns his masters plus he is going to law school... till I can go to the dentist. that sucks I can only brush my teeth and floss and pray for a miracle.(I also should stop eating sugary stuff till then and eat select foods only)

I am 16 years old and have had all four of my wisdom teeth come up. (my dentist says that it is unusual to have them all come up at my age). I have had braces for almost 3 years and atm have great oral health and my teeth look perfectly straight. ( i think i have beautiful teeth). I recently had a pan x-ray and my dentist said my wisdom teeth would be easy to remove.

I really want to get my wisdom teeth extracted because my lower and upper jaw feel crowded; just those 2 extra teeth on both levels feel like i have 50% more teeth. Also, they are a pain to floss. However, they are not causing real problems with my mouth at all, i just willingly want them pulled. Is this okay? Is it safe to have all 4 done at once?

So if i get these teeth extracted, will my teeth shift at all? I REALLY do not want to wear braces more. I have had them off for nearly 3 years now and try to wear my retainer as much as possible. I also have a lower permanent retainer behind my front four teeth

basically they cut a half in long, quarter of an inch deep trench in my hard palate to route a tooth down. Well, of course that side of my hard palate is different than the other side, but when I rub my tongue on one of the bumps, its still kind of sensitive. Is this normal? I dont have dental and although I take care of my oral hygene Im kinda worried..

well to day i went in to have my braces changed out and she said i get them off on 2-1-07 woohoo. but my question is about the retainer. they are gonna give me a clear" plastic" retainer . but for $75.00 more i can get the removable upper and fixed bottom retainer . what would you go for . this is my second time with braces . and they gave me the plastice kind last time . and i dont want to go back to braces no more . thanks agian .

ive had it for about a year it quite large and i have went to the dentist they took several x-rays a said it wasn't an absess and to go to an oral surgeon but now without insurance i can't afford to.

My friend and I both have to get our wisdom teeth taken out. I'm 17 and she's 16. I have to get mine taken out because I don't have enough room for them to grow in and she has to have hers taken out because they are growing in sideways. my wisdom teeth have been coming in for the last few years, and they are starting to push through some more. my gums are strating to get sore around the tooth, and swell a bit.the tooth it self does not bother me at all it just the gums around it. should i get them taken out or is this apart of them coming through?

I am seriously considering going to school to be a dental hygienist, but my biggest concern is one that I've never seen discussed so I'm sure it's going to be a stupid question.:) The worst part of getting my own teeth cleaned is when they are scraping plaque. It's like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. Was anyone else like this? If so, was it easy to get use to?

but not my gums..
and then the numbing goes away from my tongue and lips..
