It appears like your tooth is contaminated. each and every from time to time even as this happens the 'pus' desires an street to flee, fairly in many cases this street will kind a bulge from the least line of Resistance i.e. simplest pathway for it to flee. there is more desirable than in all probability a 'sinus' forming in which the pus is slowly escaping. treatment must be sought which consists of a vast spectrum antibiotic. yet another probability without seen description of the lump is a few thing said as an epulis or polyp. those can happen in various of situations: which consists of ill-wellbeing feeling run down, being pregnant, puberty, problematical fillings, adverse oral hygiene etc. yet through the sounds of it, you've an contaminated tooth/tooth. eliminating the 'pulp' will help in drainage or having reported that and extraction.

Can you get medicaid and get that to cover it? I don't know...one time I had an abcess on a wisdom tooth and it was like a pimple sort of deal on the outside of my gum. I kept picking it with a pin (not really recommended) since it didn't hurt and it kept coming back, so I went to the dentist and had to get a root canal and a crown or get it pulled and antibiotics for the infection.I said that I did have a toothache on and off for awhile and then it went away. They said that is because the root was dying when it hurt and now the nerve there died, so it stopped hurting. When they did the root canal, they said the root was just liquified it was rotting so long there.

i hate to say it, but you have to go somewhere to get it checked out. there is a chance it could be a cyst that can destroy the bone in your jaw, or even some kind of tumor. where in your mouth is it? is this something you can see or did it show up on an xray? did they tell you what it might be? you may want to heck and see if there is a dental school near you, they tend to charge much less for dental work. or call your community health department and see if there are any lower cost clinics nearby. i wouldn't ignore it. good luck, hope this helps.

I don't think an absess has to always be painful, but I'm not a professional in the field. Just my opinion !

just because there is a bump on your gums does not mean it is an abcess.
this is most likely some sort of growth (not necessarily a tumor of sort). an abcess would defintately show up on an xray if it is that big.
they probably would like you to have it removed and biopsied.

Sounds like you have a mucoid cyst. It can easily be removed but may come back. Had a son with that problem and had to have a gland in his mouth removed.

GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!! If you don't have medical, go to your public assistance office. If you can't afford medical then more than likely you are eligible for medical assistance.
