how much people that have/had braces been in so much pain. Because i just got braces on tuesday and ive been in so much pain.If you guys have had the same problem how long were you in pain??

Im getting my braces in January but i dont want to. My mom is making me. Its not that im scared, its just i dont want to have to brush my teeth 10 times a day and wait 2-3 years to get them off. By then i wil be 17-18. Is it worth it if i dont even want them? Then after i take the braces off i have to get my teeth bleached or something like that. I have heard many pepole say that u cant kiss with braces, you cant eat alot of stuff.. I was wondering if u know a website that has all the myths about braces or whatever? Also, what was it like for you? { for the ppl that had them}

I've had a few aches at the back of my mouth, on and off recently, but as far as i know, my wisdom teeth haven't come through yet. The could just be a bit sensitive at the moment (I go through phases) but I'm also just curious to know what the signs are. And I am due to go to my dentist quite soon for my check up, so I can see if there's a problem then

I currently have two teeth that bother me when I eat/drink hot and cold stuff. I just got back from the dentist and he said everything looks fine, but if it continues for a month they were thinking about removing the nerve in the tooth. Has anyone ever heard of this??

I visited a dentist. Because of my move, this dentist is a new guy. He found a small crack on my crown and he needs to replace the whole crown because it may develop tooth decay through that and said it would cost $5000 for five teeth. And then, quickly turned around and offer $1000 off of the price when I said I would need a second opinion.

1. Replacing the entire crown is the only option I have? there is no such thing like repairing the crown?

2. Does it really cost $1000 for each tooth in Atlanta area?

have a sore area at the outside of one of my molar teeth, suddenly came up a few days ago,nothing particular to see other than redness, but tooth hurts with really hot food. Dentist said not abscess forming...have scratched gum with toothbrush or fingernail?! Any help to make it go fast?

Hello All. I have read over other questions and seen what other people have answered to "do braces hurt" "what can i expect when getting braces put on" thats all fine and good.

What i want to know is, is it possible that it wont hurt that bad after you get them on? I have crowded teeth and it sounds like i'll be the luck one and get some spacers ... do those hurt phenominally or just a little? I have a adult tooth up in my gums that they have to attach a bracket too beneath the tissue. Will they do that today? I'm just a little anxious and completely prepared for the pain i'll endure, but i'm just trying to ease my nerves since i'm so excited about having a new a bright smile!

Its like the beginning of the day thats going to change my life ...

I have an appointment today at 3:50pm and I'm scared as hell, I'm 19 I know I should be brave but when it comes to sharp things in my mouth I freak out. So they prescribed me Valium, my filling fell out accidently biting on a popcorn with a kernel in it, so now I have this huge hole in my tooth where my filling used to be. I'm so scared about the shot. Should I be frightened about the needle? Will it hurt bad? What does it feel like?

Each time I open my mouth wide or eat, a bone cracks in my mouth. This is been happening about 2 months now. It gets very embarassing when i'm eating with somebody and there's little noise around as you can her it crack constantly. I don't grind my teeth when i'm sleeping as i was told this could be a cause of it. Any ideas what it could be and should i go and get it checked out? It's by no ways painfull just annoying. Thanks in advanse.
