I'm pretty sure most everyone has pain and discomfort after the braces are put on and after adjustments. I didn't have spacers, but from what I hear, they are uncomfortable. It seems like once your teeth start moving, the tooth in your gums will start to come down. I don't see how they can attach a bracket if it is not exposed. That will probably come later. The hardest thing I encountered when I had braces was learning to eat again. Eating is very difficult at first - be very patient and enjoy the soft foods. Yes, braces will change your life and you will be amazed at how fast teeth move. Keep your braces clean and you should have no problems. Good luck.

Braces are uncomfortable when they first go on, and become sore for 24-48 hours after intial placement and after each adjustment. If you need to have a tooth that must be raised out of your gums, that is a separate surgical procedure generally done by an oral surgeon (specialist) or periodontist (specialist). Most likely it will just be the teeth above the gums that have bands and brackets placed at your intial visit. Generally after that, at a time to be determined by your orthodontist, you will go to a specialist who will surgically expose the tooth below your gums, and attach a bracket to it. Don't worry about this. You will be numb in the area that the work is done in, and it is a fairly common procedure to have done. Best of luck, and enjoy your new smile!

Ok there is no pain in getting brace is on believe me. However, you will just think you teeth is been pull a little bit. However, you will get over it in a few hours. In addition, when you get your brace(s) on mite is hidden on one of the brakes but the next day you will not be hitting of anything. In addition, the orthodontist will not be butting you top and bottom braces on the one day. In addition, the next day they will be more than pain. So try and not hit your bottom teeth with you top teeth. I know it mite me hard .And spacers are not that bad. The sound worse I know. Nevertheless, it only a spring or two. In the front of your mouth. In addition, you will feel a little bit of spring bushing you teeth. However, the next day you will have a little bit of pain not much. In addition, it is not as bad as getting your braces on. Moreover, do not be a scared. Moreover, it does not take long at all. The will use glue. Moreover, a gun which will heat the brace and the glue. Moreover, spacers the will push your back teeth back and leave space for your front teeth. I hope this helps. All the best and a happy new year. PS use painkillers when you get a pain in your teeth.

Braces aren't bad. They'll hurt for a week or so and then you'lll get used to them. Ice-cream and jello work. Ask your dentists lots of questions.
