Give her some Children's Motrin (ibuprofen) instead of Children's Tylenol. Ibuprofen has GREAT anti-inflammatory properties whereas Children's Tylenol does not. Do not do this if she has an allergy or sensitivity to aspirin or ibuprofen. If they were cavities in between her teeth and her gums hurt, you can put some anbesol on the gums in the area. If they were only biting surface cavities, anbesol will do nothing for her discomfort. I hope this helped.

First and foremost, you should try to take her mind off the pain by playing games, watching movies, or reading. If she continues to be in discomfort, you can give her an anti-inflammatory approved for children's dosage. Warm salt water rinses can also relieve such pain. To do a salt water rinse, add one teaspoon of salt to one cup of warm water and instruct her to 'wash it around in here mouth' and spit it out. However, it is extremely important that she doesn't swallow the salt water, so I suggest you watch over her as she rinses.
A lot of dental pain can be mentally induced rather than physically, which is why it is extremely important to distract her from here dental work.

my daughter always liked from when she was a tiny baby when (even now sometimes at 19 when shes not feeling too well and she stops by or just wants to feel close I do this) I would stroke her head you know very lightly with my fingertips from the forehead just above her eyes to the back of the head as she's lying down on her back. it always seemed to relax her

Poor baby. Tell her how great she did and how proud you are. Let her eat ice cream or a popsickle. If her pain is really bad... grab some ambesol or gum number for when teeth are growing in. It helps a lot!
