i had the same thing done in September...you'll be fine. They'll put you under, and the next thing you know, you'll be waking up. Are they wisdoms? Just be careful of the Dry socket (when the blood clot dislogdes after the surgery) by not smoking or drinking out of a straw for a few days later. They give you nice little drugs to deal with the pain too. When you can stand it, drink pineapple juice---according to my aunt (who is a dietician) pineapple juice has an enzyme in it that will help your sockets heal quicker. You'll be okay, don't worry! Good luck!

not to worry. It all depends on how impacted these wisdom teeth are,,,the less impacted the easier the surgery and the faster the healing. I was wounfering if your dentist or oral surgeon gave you antibiotics to take prior to your surgery because this can help reduce your healing time and bruising. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth out and I survived actually I was out and about the 2 day!!
So just stay positive and take a few days off.
Also this will better your mouth no more discomfort and it may even prevent your teeth from crowding, making it more easier to keep clean. After surgery dont drink out of a straw and dont smoke this will delay healing or worse it can cause the healing blood clot to dislodge and a dry socket forms which can be very painful...this is the pain people complain about after they get their wisdom teeth extracted. Avoid a dry socket avoid the pain, simple.

I'm guessing you're having wisdom teeth removed? Nope, it won't change the shape of your jaw or face. You may be a little swollen for a day or so, then you'll look back to normal again. Your jaw may be a little sore for a few days (a little longer if you have issues with TMJ), but otherwise not too much pain.

Your dentist will also let you know about foods to avoid for a few days while you're healing.

No worries, just a little temporary discomfort. If you have someone around who will "pamper" you, you get to ask 'em to bring you pudding and other soft foods. *grin*

relies upon what type of oral surgical procedure you'll had. I had countless teeth extractions and frenolectomy performed, so I actually have a touch bit journey on that concern. if you're asleep suring the technique, it gained't harm and also you'd be medicated once you awaken, and then you'll have some meds to take each few hours, so that you're going to really have a tender discomfort for the first few days, or till you're out of meds. depending the position the surgical procedure is, your jaw will be stiff, you ought to get blood rushed to the right in case you bend over, your cheeks will be somewhat swollen, your tongue would harm to pass (devour and swallow) yet you'll heal interior of a week or 2. in case you could't devour good, ensure that you do devour reliable smooth issues which will keep your potential up. reliable success!
