I currently have two teeth that bother me when I eat/drink hot and cold stuff. I just got back from the dentist and he said everything looks fine, but if it continues for a month they were thinking about removing the nerve in the tooth. Has anyone ever heard of this??

Yes, it's called a root canal. I've had three and they are not fun. Try Sensodyne toothpaste for a few weeks before you do anything with the dentist. I found that it worked for general sensitivity to temperature. Good luck.

Sure have and it's a great way to stop the pain between going from hot to cold or vise versa. The nerve somehow had become exposed, which is causing you the grief. Have it removed and bingo! You can have cake and ice cream with a coffee chaser without hitting the roof!

Good Luck

Just have it pulled, trust me it he said he can't fill it then don't bother with a root canal it's much too expensive and painful and it's not a permanent fix!
