Good oral hygiene will get rid of the vast majority of bad breath. Brush 2-3 times per day, floss 1 time per day, and brush your tongue and the roof of your mouth every time you brush. Sometimes, however, bad breath can be a digestive problem. Many people have bad breath when their stomachs are empty. This is due to certain substances that the stomach and esophagus produce along with bacteria that can be found in the stomach. There is an organism called helicobacter pylori (h. pylori) which has been linked to stomach ulcers as well as digestive halitosis. If your oral hygiene is PERFECT, your stomach is full, and you still have bad breath, you should consult a physician for the problem. There are certain tests that can be done on expired breath to see if the bacteria are present, and there are certain antibiotics that can kill them.

The volatile sulfur compounds that cause bad breath are created as a waste product by anaerobic oral bacteria when they digest proteins. This would imply that those persons who maintain a vegetarian diet (a diet composed mostly of fruits and vegetables) will most likely have fewer chronic breath problems than those people who have diets that are high in protein rich foods such as meat.
It is important for a person to clean their mouth thoroughly after eating, and especially after eating foods that are high in protein content. This is because even after we have finished a meal minute particles of food still remain in our mouth. Much of this food debris ends up lodged between our teeth and incorporated into the coating found on the posterior part of our tongue. Since these are precisely the same locations in which the anaerobic bacteria that cause bad breath live, if a person does not clean their mouth thoroughly a food supply is provided for these bacteria over an extended period of time.
What I found amazed me. . . For example, did you know:
Commercial toothpaste and mouthwash manufacturers have been lying to you?
Tongue Scraping alone accomplishes nothing?
The Bad Breath Bugs actually live UNDER the surface of your tongue?
The only thing that really kills bad breath is Oxygen (OXYD-8)?

In addition to brushing your teeth and mouth washes, flossing helps as well.
It's also been proven that eating yogurt over a period of time prevents bad breath. The acidophillus bacteria outcompete the bad-breath-causing-bacteria in your mouth.
When you brush, brush you tongue as well.
eat healthy and get enough sleep. Bad breath sometimes originates from the lungs, and there is nothing you can do to get rid of that except to clean up your body

Ensure when brushing your toothbrush is clean. Bacteria can reside in old toothbrushes in the grooves where your teeth have been.
Also, be sure to brush the taste buds on your tongue. You can do this with your brush that has been left in hot water or with a tongue scraper which is available at most chemists and dentists.
Also, a good, not too cheap mouth wash and regular dental gum help.

Always brush your teeth at least 3 times a day .. DON'T
forget your tongue.. gargle with a strong mouthwash. Always Floss . If this doesn't work, you could have gingivitis, or maybe something intestinal, try these first.. Carry a pack of gum , If the first couple of things don't help see your dentist, they will be able to help.. I know this must be horrible. Good Luck

You might try brushing twice daily. If that doesn't work you might want to make a appointment to see the dentist because sounds like you have plaque build up or something else going!! Run as fast as you can and get help for this issue.... No one wants to talk to someone who can curl their eyebrows with the hot heat from their foul breath just by talking to them!!!!

Seriously, you take garlic supplements and do a colon, liver, and total body cleanse regime, take hot herbal therapy baths, exercises to sweat toxins out or use steam rooms (much bad bacteria can be contacted there though). Halitosis is an internal problem generally unless dental hygiene is lacking or a gum disease or other problem is prevalent.

The simplest way and most effective way is different way of brushing. When you brush your teeth, brush at the end of the tongue between your tongue your throat. So all the way at the back. There is a perfect place for the bad causing bacteria to accumulate.
