It's almost completely through the gum. There's still a large bump where the rest of the tooth is attempting to push through. Does anyone have any idea how long this could take?

Please get it extracted ASAP...if infected, the infection can spread. Its better to get it taken out and deal with the healing period rather than dealing with the constant risk of pain & inflammation.

Unfortunately, it may never happen. A tooth can be impacted (unable to erupt into position) and be slightly out of the gums at the same time. Only a dentist can tell you if a wisdom tooth is impacted or not. He/She will most likely want to take a panoramic X-ray (one that spins all the way around your head and takes about 20 seconds of standing perfectly still to take) to diagnose the situation. If not impacted, a wisdom tooth should not take more than a couple of months to fully erupt. I hope this helps. Go see a dentist!

Wisdom teeth are unpredictable, they begin to erupt and then decide to submerge again. Sometimes they dont erupt at all and stay under the gums and become impacted or they dont have the room to erupt and then that when they cause some pain. This could go on forever, it may go away and then come back. Usually the wisdom teeth begin to act up around 18-19 years old and they are usually extracted by an oral surgeon which is covered by your parents insurance if you are still under their insurance. I advise you go see your dentist he will take xrays and decide, in the mean time rinse with salt and water to help soothe the gum in the area.

Go to the dentist and get it yanked. Get the pain done in one shot and get it over with. It'll probably have to come out anyway, no point in suffering while it comes out

Depends on your age, 20 + its probably not going to change that much. Best go to the dentist get it out and it will never bother you again

I'm sorry you're in pain. Have you considered having your wisdom teeth removed by an oral surgeon?

It might be stuck, in that case it'll hurt til it comes out. Which is much less pain than leaving it in there.

Oh how I remember that pain! I'm so sorry you are feeling bad. Go see your dentist. You don't have to suffer.

Best of luck to you!
