Its a constant ache... not really painful as such. It started last night. Its on the pointy tooth at the front, it doesn't seem to get any worse with hot or cold. What could it be?!

I have a tooth or gum aching (which I can't identify) after bitten a piece of chicken bone accidentally. The aching is like more obvious during a meal and after a meal. Is it a tooth decay? Frankly speaking, I don't really dare to go to the dentist. :(

I had a UPPER Tooth Extraction yesterday morning at about 8am

Now it's 24 hours later.

I have a dull throbbing pain in the extraction site..
I have not sucked on a straw.Or Smoked (which was easy considering I dont)
I have ate nothing but soft foods and did everything my sheet said to do.

It was just a SIMPLE extraction. No putting to sleep,No stiches. But there is pain today that Is very painful.

My "nurse" Reassured me that Top tooth extractions HARDLY NEVER ever get dry sockets.

How can I tell for sure if I have one?

My upper wisdom tooth is biting into my lower gum and has caused a lesion that has now become infected and swollen and very painful. What can i do? I am taking antibiotics for the infection, but i cannot close my mouth because of the swelling. Would trimming my wisdom tooth make a diffrence now that it's already swollen? If i wait, will the swelling go down, or now that i'm biting even more into it, will it become worse? I do not want to have the opposing tooth taken out. Please.. i am in serious pain.. any suggestions? Thank you!

Have you heard of certain strains of Strep can cause cavities? My sister-in-law took my niece to the dentist for her teeth cleaning and found out she has 5 cavities and she said that the dentist told her that this can cause them. Is this for more that just one strain of Strep?

A few years ago, my dentist expressed mild concern over excessive wear on the back of my 2 front teeth.

My mother always told me I would grind my teeth as a kid. I don't know if I still do. My husband says he never notices it, but he sleeps so soundly that he wouldn't notice anyway. My dentist said the grinding COULD be the culprit & recommended a very PRICEY night guard but I never followed up on it.

Fast-forward to today. Over the past few months I've noticed the backs of my front teeth are feeling more concave. And on one tooth, there's a very distinct "ridge" I can feel with my tongue. By looking in the mirror, I can actually tell that this tooth is thinner than the rest because it's starting to appear translucent.

Is grinding really the cause? What else could be causing this & how can I REPAIR the damage already done? I'm only 29. I don't want to lose my teeth already! PLEASE HELP!

P.S. I'm calling the dentist tomorrow, but seeking answers tonight. Thanks!!!

=:o)

I have a molar that needs to be extracted (I let it go for a long time, the tooth cracked and one of the jagged pieces that's still sticking out of the gumline is poking the back of my tounge all the time)

The dentist won't pull it out until Thursday Dec 21 - how can I deal with the pain until then? I've been taking vicodin and ambusol - but the vicodin will run out in about 3 days - what do I do then?
