Laugh with them, because they will. I'm 23 and i just had a baby tooth removed from where my adult canine should be about a month ago. (i've been fortunate, no one has really pointed it out verbally they've just kind of stared at the gap when I talk) anyways, If you make it funny the fact that you will look funny won't bother you so much. Granted i dont smile as much as i used to, and i tend to avoid funny situations, but should the time come when i flash someone a smile, i ask them if it looks like i'm a lazy hillbilly who didn't take care of that one tooth or does it look like i got in a "gangsta" fight and my tooth got knocked out?
Its good stuff and it helped me alot!

Hi there
You do not have to go 2 months without a tooth! Is your dentist insane? There is a piece called a flipper that you can wear everyday to fill the gap. The pontic (fake tooth) on the flipper can be a real looking as your dentist has them made. They are not cheap (around $100-$200) but really worth it for aesthetic reasons. Talk to him about it. What happens if the bridge work isn't completed in time? The flipper is cheaper then then having a temporary resin bridge made while waiting for your new bridge. That way the dentist only has to put temps on the 2 abutments (teeth that are ground down to adhere the bridge to). Have you considered an implant instead of a bridge? That way you do not have to ruin your 2 teeth next to the gap.
Talk to your dentist more.
Good luck and take care.

Phone the dentist and ask if you can have impressions taken for an "immediate denture." This means you don't have a gap on your front teeth (all you want for christmas is your two front teeth?!) They dont look as good as a real tooth, but the denture is a substitute for nothing rather than a substitute for a tooth!!!
Good luck!

Only behind your back! I wouldn't be so cruel as to let you hear!
If its an help, I fell out the bath when i was a child and chipped my front tooth. I had a filling done but a few years later when I was about 16 it randomly fell out on the bus. My boyfriend (who I'm still with for some reason) called me Lloyd Christmas (as in Dumb and Dumber) for days until I got it repaired.

It would depend on you. A good friend wouldn't belittle you for their own satisfaction if they knew you were being hurt by what they were saying. On the other hand, if you don't make an issue of it you're bound to be a target! Try your best not to take this too seriously and it will pass smoothly.

If I was your friend I wouldn't laugh or make fun about that, especially if I know you're upset about it. I lost all my front teeth before I finally had to have them all taken out last summer cuz of a gum infection and I still don't have teeth. I don't like it when somebody makes wisecracks about me havin no teeth so I wouldn't do it to somebody else.

Probably would, that would make anyone look funny, (just imagine if it was your friend); I would laugh at first & then try not to. Look on the bright side, it's just for 2 months.
