I say don't - nothing will penetrate the glue they use to affix the braces and you could lighten the rest and leave little darker circle behind the brace. Wait till the braces come off then work on it.

It will depend on how long you have had braces... I have braces and I brush my teeth with toothpaste that has whiteners in it. However, you do not want the area around the brackets to become lighter than the part that is cemented, so that when your braces come off-- your teeth will be one color. Aside from that, just be sure to go to your dentist to have them cleaned every 3-6 months.

Do not whiten your teeth with the braces on!!!
If your orthodontist uses colored o-ties, get a shade of blue. Blue makes white look whiter. Do NOT use an orange or yellow because it will make the teeth appear more yellow.
Also, same advice with your lipstick or gloss. Go with a "cool" pink or red rather than a "warm" shade.

Do not do that because once you get your braces off you will have white teeth with yellow squares in the middle...just use like whitening toothpaste.

i learned this trick from my aunt in London that if you leave your toothpaste on for an extra 10 min after eating that it'll get whiter. So far my teeth have blinded only one person...

use toothpaste and brush everyday. dont use any whiter. or you will have the outline of the braces

wait. if you whiten now you will not get the part of the tooth under the bracket and they will be a different color when you get the braces off.
