i'd say purple and black...and always avoid green, thats when it looks like theres something in your teeth!! no good, haha
when i had braces i started off doing colors, i did red and black a few times (school colors) but then started going with silver (or grey or whatever)...its less noticeable...and thats what i stuck with never did other colors after that
but the choice is yours!! good luck!! and even though braces can suck at times, have fun with it!! =)

Mardi Gras is right around the corner .Why don't you get purple green and gold (yellow)? They are the Mardi Gras colors, you would be festive.

Dont get any black at all youll look like you have black holes in your teeth!
What about a light blue?

I wouldn't be too festive with color braces at all- what if someone mistakes the braces for something worse?
One thing for sure, don't get red.
