I have had problems with my tooth. It is the 3rd tooth from the back on the bottom right, over the past few years it has developed cavities that i can see. Now my tooth has a whole, about the size of a pea, i have not been able to eat on the right side of my mouth now for about a year, it is driving me nuts. i havnt gone to the dentist because like everyone else im not educated with dentistry and basically real nervouse to get whatever i need done to it, but now im at the point were im ready to deal with it, and would like advice before i go deal with it. i dont have insurance and limited money, so i will have to have it pulld right? theres no other possiblity? i see that root canals are like 800$ not lookin to do that. this tooth has cavities on all four walls inside the whole. and now hurts 24/7. inside the whole at the bottom in the gum is real sensative so i figure my nerves down there are rottin to because its black at the bottom. can someone help be 4 i see the dentist.

I brush my teeth twice a day. I've used toothpastes with whitening such as Colgate (like the toothpastes you can just buy with normal toothpaste) for years. I've also used over the counter whitening trays 3 different times over the last 9 years. (And no more than as directed on the box.) I believed that the toothpastes and toothpaste trays that I've previously used, have been safe. I've heard that some whitening products can wear away your enamel. How long and frequent would I have to use these products for it to harm my teeth, and does it ever come back? What are some natural ways that I can whiten my teeth? This is the yellowest they've ever been! During dentist check-ups, do they look for, can they see, and would they tell me if something was wrong with my enamel? I'd be grateful for all the online advice I could get.

I've been playing the flute for six years now and i don't want to stop, but i have wonky teeth and I'm thinking about getting a brace before i go to Univercity so i have straight teeth when i go there. I've heard that if you get a brace you can't play the flute, is this true?

My granddaughter is 10 and needs orthodontic work in Las Vegas.

Her mother has a dental plan but it doesn't cover much.

Can anyone recommend a good plan that covers significant orthodontic work in Nevada?

Or can anyone recommend an insurance agent in Nevada that could handle this?

Had all my teeth (32) cleaned by dentist. Charged me $70 which I paid without complaining. This is my complaint: My wife also had her teeth cleaned by same dentist (Because she wears full and partial false teeth, she only has 6 real teeth which were the ones cleaned.) and the dentist charged us $70 for her cleaning. Reason: His schedule does not differentiate for number of teeth cleaned.

I know people say not to suck on straws after wisdom teeth removal because it will dislodge the blood clots. Sooo, if sucking is a problem, how many days post-op before one can engage in oral sex?

I suffer from pain, clicking sounds in the ear and ringing in the ear on the right hand side of the face. These problems seem to be due to a misaligned jaw joint

I have seen an orthodontist who thinks I might be able to get good results from splints and braces on the teeth to correct the problem, but he has quoted me £7500 for the treatment.

Has anyone else had good results with this sort of treatment and how much did it cost?

I have a few crowns on each upper side in my mouth, and the black part of the crown is showing.
The gum has receded back a bit, and it's really unattractive.

Any good ideas about how that is gotten rid of?

I whitened my teeth at home this week and now the crowns look yellower and more noticeable.

Thanks!
