I've had a few aches at the back of my mouth, on and off recently, but as far as i know, my wisdom teeth haven't come through yet. The could just be a bit sensitive at the moment (I go through phases) but I'm also just curious to know what the signs are. And I am due to go to my dentist quite soon for my check up, so I can see if there's a problem then

Wisdom Teeth Coming Through

difficult to tell, especially with wisdom teeth. Teeth growing inside the mouth usually produce swollen gums, slightly sensitive to touch, but that would be relieved if something cool is placed against it (if it were a gum disease/inflamation, the cool/cold would probably make it hurt more). The pain wouldn't be constant, as sometimes they hurt more when they are growing "inside" than when they are actually about to pop through (that could well happen when you chew on something and they just pop through with the last bit of pressure).
the problem with wisdom teeth is that they frequently grow sideways (lying down inside the gum) or diagonally and impale into your molars. these cases require surgery to remove the wisdom tooth before it causes damage to your molar, gum and jaw.
The dentist could only tell this by taking an x-ray. If the molar is growing sideways he can't even tell by simply looking into your mouth.
If you are concerned (even a little bit) that this might be the case, you must mention it to him at your next visit as then he could either reassure you that they are growing out straight (best case) or that something needs to be done (best to know in advance and prepare yourself).

Good luck, whatever it is.

when my started coming through my jaw would hurt occassionaly. It would feel like someone was pinching me really hard for a couple of minutes and then it would go away. They aren't all quite in, but they all 4 have broken skin. It took a while for them to do that though. Some people have it worse though. They get an excruciating miserable feeling.

Check here a very effective sciatica natural treatment http://cure-sciatica.info
Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication
I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.
I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica.

Many common natural remedies are claimed to have blood sugar lowering properties that make them useful for people with or at high risk of diabetes. Learn here https://tr.im/MHtYq

A number of clinical studies have been carried out in recent years that show potential links between herbal therapies and improved blood glucose control, which has led to an increase in people with diabetes using these more 'natural' ingredients to help manage their condition.

When my were coming through I couldn't open my jaw enough to even eat a sandwich for 2 days and I was pregnant at the time, but after that everything went back to normal. I still have them and that was 22 years ago, no problems since.

The signs of your wisdom teeth coming through are similar to the signs of several other problems. Pain when chewing, swelling of the gums behind your 2nd molars, jaw aches, jaw swelling, etc. These can be signs of clenching and grinding, cavities/infection in adjacent teeth, or TMJ disorder. There is no way to tell without the proper x-rays and a thorough dental exam. Don't forget, wisdom teeth are the most commonly impacted teeth in the mouth. They may never come through your gums. Mention the pain to your dentist even if it goes away by the time you see him/her.

Achey jaw and saw gums, sounds probable. Good Luck. Often wisdom teeth move and stop and move again before they break through.
