I just got veneers (4 front teeth) and they are really fantastic. However, I happened to go to a club the other night and catch my smile in a mirror. Due to the black lights all throughout the club, the bathroom flouresces as well and my veneers looked less "glowy" than all the rest. Not too too bad, but I noticed. Now I'm a bit self-aware. Has anyone who has veneers noticed this and if so, has anyone ever asked the dreaded question......."what's wrong with your teeth? or "are your teeth real"?

I went to the dentist yesterday and I have Periodontal Disease most pockets are only 2 to 3 but I have a few 4's and 5's and one that they read as a 10. I have had a lot of dental work done in my life (broke 2 front teeth, root canel, the tooth became infected, I lost the front tooth) and now this. The only reason my dentist even checked was because I am having a Crown put on my front tooth. Can I get rid of this or am I going to lose another tooth I am to young to have 2 crowns.

It hurts so much I can't sleep, work or function sometimes. Financially I have no options in seeking medical treatment. What can I do to ease the pain? I have been buying street drugs to numb myself but this option isnt a good one I know.

Since I can remember, once I got my adult teeth, I've always had divets in the front top two teeth, close to the gums. It doesn't go all the way across the tooth, it's in the very front middle where the teeth come together. I'm not sure if it's enamel or maybe lack of proper nutrition as they were growing in, but it seems to be increasing over time. You can't tell unless you're up close and looking for it, my teeth appear to be normal, but when you feel them and look closely you can see visible (for lack of better terminology) "worn places" in my front two teeth, as though someone sanded them down a bit or something. They're just as smooth as regular teeth, no extra sensitivity or anything. Any ideas as to what may have caused this? Better still, can it be fixed? If so, how much does that generally cost? Thanks for your help!

I have severe latex allergy. I react not only to gloves but airborne particles of latex, so an office where they offer to use an alternative just for me, is not good enough.

I am very self conscious of my teeth but I my parents can't afford braces for me. I am willing to work and pay for them, but I am already paying for my car and helping pay the bills. I'm only 16 so I don't make that much money anyway. . . So what can I do? My teeth need to be fixed bad but braces are just not affordable. . .

My 2 bottom wisdom teeth were removed on Friday 9/29 and today is Thursday 10/5 and I'm still alittle swolen, I feel a little pain on all my bottom teeth and I have this weird taste in my mouth. I've been following all the instructions my dental surgeon gave me and am drinking all my medication like I'm suppose to. Could this be an infection or is it normal?

I don't want to get braces cuz my other teeth are straight. Its just that one tooth. What can I do? I've heard of porcelain veneers, but they're expensive and kinda scary. Should I get invisalign? Does it really work like braces? I can't afford braces right now either. I also want to get britesmile done but is there an alternative to that too besides brushing with toothpaste everyday? Can someone come up with both affordable and real solutions to my problem?

I live in VA and I do have dental insurance but it's still too expensive to get my teeth fixed. I need a cap, root canal, and fillings plus my wisdom teeth out. Does anyone know of a cheap way to get it done.

I have been having toothaches for about a week now. And I decided to find out what tooth it was coming from by pressing on my tooth. Well, I found out I can stick my fingernail between my tooth and the gum. And everyday it just seemd to be getting worse and the gum is pulling itself more away from my tooth. In my family is a known Tooth deciese that causes this. But my mother says there is nothing that can be done.
Is there anything that can be done?

Thanks for the help

I know soda is not good for you...

I have alot of cavities, and I'm trying to wein myself off of soda...

I work overnight shifts so thats part of the reason why i don't want to just cut it off cold turkey, and I admit I am addicted just as I am addicted to my cigarettes.

So, I'm just wondering if there is ways while i am still drinking soda to make it less abusive to my teeth?

Don't judge me for it, just answer the question if you can.

Do we have all our teeth already in the gum/jaw when we are born?

Or are they made for a certain period of time then it stops???
