When you were a kid, your mouth was too small for those extra molars, but now your mouth is fully grown and there is room for 4 extra teeth.

The wisdom teeth do not begin to form until 10-12 years old. Therefore, the formation, calcification, and eruption could last into the 20s. Unfortunately, if there isn't enough room the teeth can become impacted and require extraction. I have seen the damage that is caused by wisdom teeth not being extracted. If they need to be extracted and they are not, then you may end up losing that tooth and the tooth in front of it due to tooth decay and gum disease.

This is the truth.Thousands of years ago during the caveman days our mouths were bigger and the wisdom teeth came in fine. As years went by our mouths are smaller and do not have enough room to grow.
