Hi, my second front tooth is twisted a bit around, and I think it looks a bit ugly - only close up though. Can a retainer - one of those plastic clear ones, or wire one, fix this and rotate it back around?

Also can a retainer push back teeth so that they protrude less. My teeth as basically perfect but a little protruding..

The answer choices are
1) twigs off the maxillary artery
2) inferior alveolar branches off the lateral pterygoid artery
3) infraorbital artery

I have been feeling this pain on my face for a couple of weeks. It feels as if I have been hit on my jaw and gives me lots of headache. I pulled out my wisdows teeth already (all of them), so is not a question of a rising tooth.
When I get tired I feel like forcing my jaw and putting pressure on it. I don't is not good and I try not to do this.
Any suggestions?

hi guys..heres my story. I went to the dentist a couple months ago for some work. Now they want to do a couple root canels as well as crowns. One tooth is so bad (tooth # 15, upper left molar tooth) they want to pull it. Another one is tooth #4 which is a bicuspid. Another one is tooth #6 which it says its an anterior. Tooth #11 (anterior) tooth #21 (bicuspid) tooth #30 and #31 (both molars) I don't have much money. In fact, I have really bad dental insurance, and I have only a $1000 CareCredit Card, which is maxed. Difference between root canels/crowns and a pulled tooth is literally a thousand dollars or more. I want to get this done as soon as possible but can't due to the money. I want to get braces asap. Would the dentist be willing to pull any of these teeth like the back molars? any input would be greatly appeciated thanks!

Can someone translate this for me about my retainer?
I had my braces on for 3 years. I had them taken off, and one of the things my orthodontist told me was "You've had them on so long, your teeth are set, they aren't going anywhere. Wear the retainer though....." And she told me to wear them for a little while before i wear them just at night. And she said it depends on how long I progress with wearing them.

I just got my top one and it's making me talk funny. Now let me elaborate....I am VERY conscientious about my teeth and whether or not they will move. I finally have a normal smile after years of not......

I also checked in with my ortho today( not the assistant) and she didn't say anything about how often I should wear it, she just put them on (granted she was busy).......

Is this translating to, just wear it at night?

I've been grinding my teeth alot more than usual in the last week or so, I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to prevent this from happening or atleast make it less painful. I have tried useing a mouth gaurd for wrestleing that forms to your teeth, but it made it hard to fall asleep and it hurt my gums. I've been grinding my teeth and clenching my jaw for a real long time, but it's not constant it's off and on. I don't know why it happens, but it's starting to really hurt alot during the day and when I'm eating. So if anyone has a solution or anything I really appreciate it alot.

I have two front teeth that did not seem to grow in the correct way. They somewhat look like baby teeth, which have a triangular shape. When I say triangle shape, they would kind of remind you of vampire teeth, yet WAY smaller. They aren't long at all.

Now, for these two small teeth, do I need to get them bonded, or am I able to get Porcelain Veneers? Im planning to get Porcelain Veneers, but I don't if the two teeth stop me from getting them.

My friend would like to know something, and she doesnt have yahoo so Im helping her out. Here is her question:
I have never had a cavity before. I was looking at my teeth since I am getting braces in 3 days, and the top ones, on the biting surface, most have a yellowish tint to them. Is this normal? Does this mean I have 4 cavities on my top teeth since 4 have a tiny yellowish tint? The teeth are not sensitive to any foods, but hurt for like 2 seconds litereally at random times. Does this sound like a cavity? Or just sensitive teeth? PS-I BRUSH MY TEETH 2 TIMES A DAY AND FLOSS ONCE A DAY USUALLY!

I love my boyfriend for him - not his looks, but lately, his teeth have been bothering me. They are perfectly straight, but i doesn't look like hes spent a lot of time brushing. He rarely has bad breath, but his teeth still look grimy and gunky. We recently spent our first weekend together in Santa Barbra and i didnt see him brush once! How can i fix this without hurting his feelings!

I'm very scared of the dentist, and i havent been in a while.
My whole filling hasnt come out, but i am left with a sharp piece of tooth / filling in my mouth.

I'm not experiencing any nerve pain though. I'm really hoping my dentist wont need to remove the whole filling then re - do it, i'm hoping he can just top it up without needing to inject me!!

What do you all think? Thanks in advance :-]

I was told that I had a #5 pocket peridontal disease. At least, that's what I think I was told. Someone correct me if I didn't state that the correct way.

Anyhow, is it because I drink diet cokes and tea? Do I need to floss 3x per day? Take calcium? What can I do to STOP the bone loss and reverse the damage I've caused already.

My mother has been told she has some level of bone loss, should I be worried about osteoprosis?

If my mouth bones are weak, would braces at age 30 be a bad idea? I don't want them to pull my teeth from their sockets!

My dentist wants to do a gum wash which will cost $90 per quadrant after insurance. Is this very helpful?

My husband's dentist has told him that his excessive development of tartar can be hereditary. I thought tartar came from plaque that was not removed from the teeth on a regular basis. He's recommended that he come for a professional cleaning each three months instead of the normal 6 month time frame. Is this really hereditary or is he just not brushing like a big boy?
