I suppose you could, but I don't know if that's he norm, I never have personally. If it keeps happening I would go back and see what was wrong.

Yes. You can get an infection when they mess with your gums. There needs to be strict hygiene protocols in a dentist's office. Gloves, masks, etc. If you have a cold or a sinus condition, maybe the dentist's office A/C unit had mold or pollen spores, which triggered an allergic reaction.

Allergies to dental materials are very serious! If you feel ill, call your dentist or doctor immediately!

Possibly! If you were alergic to something that they used, for example floride, then you may get sick and possibly die. And this is not to scare you but it is possible. If you are worried of this, then contact your orthadonist and they may be able to help you. Hope this helps.
