My wisdom teeth have not surfaced and may be impacted I was told that I needed them removed. The thing is that its not really bothering me except when I grind my teeth in my sleep. Should I get the wisdom teeth extracted anyway?
One more thing what are some ways to stop grinding your teeth?

Ok so three years ago I get a root canal done and two years after the root canal I started
To feel some discomfort pain and went back to my dentist he said its infected !
So he gave me some pills the pain went away then came back a year later I went back to the same dentist he took a x-ray said I see nothing wrong look perfect .. but I think it’s a micro fracture lets pull the tooth, Well its my front tooth and I wanted a second look so I went to see another dentist .They took a x-ray also and said I see nothing wrong but however looks a little infected on top I suggest a re treat which he did this Monday. Afterward I felt little pain figured it was sore from the re treat now today awful pain so I don’t think its working.. this is messed up I spent 500 dollars already now I think hes going to want 415 dollars for something that did not work on one tooth now I think I got to see a specialist which is going to cost more money this sucks hell im lost ..

i was at the dentist a week ago, everything that was done has healed just fine EXCEPT the area where i was injected with novacain, it looks like there was a blister there that popped or like a sore and its hurting like mad it doesnt seem to be getting better at all if anything its looking bigger, ill call my dentist tomarrow but im curious to know if anyone else has had it take a long time for the area where they received an injection in there mouth to heal.

i have braces and i feel like my teeth are wiggly..
is this normal?

2006-10-06 18:52:42 · 13 answers · asked by Anonymous

I recall dental visits used to be once a year for a cleaning and check up. Now 6 months seems to be the norm and most dentists are pushing return visits every 4 months. Is this just a business strategy or is there a valid reason for the shrinking timeline? I don't have dental insurance and exam, x-rays, and cleaning can cost $150 to $200 each time.

My 14 year old sister decided to try and pierce her own tounge with a needle in her bedroom. Have already bought antiseptic mouth wash for her, and taken the tounge-ring out. I'm just wondering if there is anything else that should be done, and what kind of warning signs to look for....

THANKS!!!

Alright I went to the dentist two weeks ago and had my back right molar extracted. A few hours later I started getting a sore throat and severe pain in my right ear. I was given Vicodin for the pain and sent home. The next morning I still had a sore throat and my ear was aching badly. I got up and took two vicodins at like 5 im the morning and went back to sleep once the pain subsided a little bit. I called the dentist later that night and he put me on an antibiotic. Now I am really sick. I had to go to the hospital Sunday night and they gave me steroids and some IV fluids and had to give me two breathing treatments. I cleared up and came home. I went to see my doctor on Tuesday and he gave me a different antibiotic this is now about 1 1/2 weeks later. I have lost my voice and am feeling so lousy that I can hardly function because I am so sick. I went back to the doctor today and he gave me an asthma inhaler and said that I have asthmatic bronchitis do you think all of this

I have a cavity, but I don't have dental insurance so I can't go to the dentist right now. Anyway, does anyone know if there is a way to slow the decay or to improve it...like with calcium supplements or something like that? I already brush try to take care of them the best I can. Any ideas?
