I wish to get some dental work done on my lovely teeth. I dont have major teeth problems but i do have some minor spacing which i wish to get fixed with Invisalign or OrthoClear, the invisible braces. I am 18 years old and will be transferring out into USC this coming fall of 2007. I went to a dentist and said my spacing was very minor and would only take about 7 months to fix for a total price of $4200 or so. I need a lower price and I know that for a direct figure i should go to see different dentists personally but i need to know of how i can maximize my chances of paying a low price. I'm in southern california in the city of Norwalk.

I was told OrthoClear was less expensive than Invisalign yet I checked the OrthoClear website today and it seems that OrthoClear has been bought out and are now closed. As a college student I wish for a lower price than $4200. HELP IN ANY WAY?

I want to know what the condition is called, and how it is caused (besides from excess sugar consumption, I haven't had that much sugar for ages), and what is the process of 'curing' it.

I'm saying, once I or they give them the green light, will they start making my custom set away, or do I to keep coming back for another consultation. I heard it takes them 4-5 weeks for them to make your set.

hi all, i'm concidering getting veneers but i know the average lifespan on them before they need replacing is 15 years.

now 2006 prices for veneers is pretty high, what will the prices be when the time comes they need replacing? the same or considerably lower?

99% things you buy in the world prices always come 'down', i hope thats the case for dentistry materials.

I have had unrelenting fatigue for months, and at times have low grade temps/feel nauseas for no apparent reason. I do have peridontal disease & also had lost a cavitiy out of a molar that one dentist refused to refill. I was not prepared to have the tooth pulled (and it did not hurt AT ALL), so it has been left with the hole for awhile. I just went to the dentist for this (and another issue) the other day and he said that molar was abcessed. He was surprised that I had no pain with it at all (am scheduled to have it filled this week). I'm wondering - even though I don't have the typical pain that I guess I should....could my exhaustion etc... be related to the abcess or the peridontal disease in general? My other doc's can find no reason for my fatigue & it REALLY interferes with daily functioning! Thanks.

I have a hole in the center of one of my back, bottom row teeth. I can't remember if i had it filled, and the filling is just erroding or something?- bc i've gotten the white filling in the past and i can't tell my tooth from the white filling color.

It does not hurt when i eat (thank God) but I need some sort of temporary filling until the dentist apt on the 16th! Does anyone know what over-the-counter product would work??

Inside my mouth..this has been going on for years but now has gotten really bad..i have a condition that comes and goes..it is very raw and read on the insides of my checks and my gums..and now it is my tongue too that has what I think is not only redness by sores. The dentist, the periodontist..the oral surgeon have all tried to treat it..but have thrown up their hands with saying i have to live with it. The biopsies all come back with saying it isn't pre cancerous..but a harding of the skin and possibly likan plantus..(i am probably spelling this incorrectly) the 'verdict' is that it is not contageous..i just have to live with it. I personally think it is an allergic reaction to possibly substitute sweetner that is in the gum i chew a lot or something? help i am in misery(tomorrow I go to an oral surgeon..have any suggestions?)

He uses an electric toothbrush but doesn't get all the plaque off. Since his dentist retired I get the impression the new one doesn't want anything to do with him. He wants to wait 3 months and let the teeth get more rotten.(no fillings have been put in for over a year) They said my son will end up with dentures but I don't think we should do nothing for 3 months. He isn't yet on medicade and when my husband retires in 8 months we lose the dental insurance we now have. What dentist is best with special needs kids people and where? I'm looking for an orthodontist or possibly an oral surgeon if the teeth have to come out. Should I try case western reserve or the cleveland clinic or is there something closer to home. I live in Rome ohio. Do I need a second opinion?

There are a ton of tooth brushes now, with new ones coming out ever 2 to 6 months. From Colgate, Reach, Oral-B, and even Nickelodeon all of these toothbrushes claim something that will clean your teeth better. So which toothbrush do you use?

I personally just came upon Oral-B's Pulsar toothbrush that gives that little vibrating kick while brushing.

My boyfriend had a filling on Thursday, and has been complaining about an ache in his jaw/tooth ever since he told me about it. He's taken medicine frequently, and it's done nothing.
After recent fillings, I remember dealing with no pain at all. Especially not for five days.
Is this really just the result of the filling, or could something else be wrong?

Thanks.
