I wish to get some dental work done on my lovely teeth. I dont have major teeth problems but i do have some minor spacing which i wish to get fixed with Invisalign or OrthoClear, the invisible braces. I am 18 years old and will be transferring out into USC this coming fall of 2007. I went to a dentist and said my spacing was very minor and would only take about 7 months to fix for a total price of $4200 or so. I need a lower price and I know that for a direct figure i should go to see different dentists personally but i need to know of how i can maximize my chances of paying a low price. I'm in southern california in the city of Norwalk.

I was told OrthoClear was less expensive than Invisalign yet I checked the OrthoClear website today and it seems that OrthoClear has been bought out and are now closed. As a college student I wish for a lower price than $4200. HELP IN ANY WAY?

[X] You should go to a university that has a dental school. The price will be about $2800 in Charleston, SC and Columbia, SC. Sure the students do the work; but under supervision.

I live in Palm Springs CA. I had Invisalign for a little over 6 months. And I had them changed every 2 weeks for the first 3 months. And then every 3 weeks for the next 3 months. I paid a total of $3800.00. I would suggest you check the web site for the board of Orthodontist in S CA. The first one I saw gave me a price of $5600. Big difference. The only problem is you have to personally go see the Orthodontist to get the price quotes I know it can be a pain, but when you are talking about a difference of almost $2000.00 it is worth it. My teeth like yours were really not that bad just some minor spacing. But I felt a whole lot better about myself after I did the Invisalign. The Ortho Clear went out of business because they were a cheap imitation of the Invisalign, and although they worked. Did not work as well, and took longer. You might also get a discount once you are a collage student. That some times can make a difference. If you have any questions about the invisalign. You can email me through Yahoo answers, and I would be glad to let you know any thing I know.
Good Luck.

You may want to consider going to a dental school for treatment. I believe that USC actually has a school that you can go to. Most of these programs have an Orthodontic Residency Program. Usually work done at a school or a hospital residency program is considerably cheaper. The work might take a little longer, but you can usually get good quality work done for half the price. And if you are a student there, it might be covered under your student insurance!

It is true OrthoClear was actually just bought out last week by Invisalign.
