The beer and the cigarettes dont help ur halitosis but neither do not eating breakfast or plaque build up.
Morning breath is really stanky therefore brushing ur teeth at this hour is the most important time to kill some of that bacteria that has been sitting around in ur mouth all nite.
The next thing is to floss properly followed by antibacterial mouth wash. Brushing can take place before or after breakfast because the smell actually comes from your gut. Sucking on mints chewing gum throughout the day also helps and also watch ur comsumption of caffeine which really gives stinky breath.
Over and out!

If your breath smells it culd be cuz you don't brush th eback of your tongue properly. If you're like me and can't get the brush all the way to the back, get a tongue brush. They're flat and flexible and reach far without makiing you gag.
Another reason could be sinusitis which is a possibility as you smoke. If you have frequent head colds and difficulty breathing and a blocked nose... you may have it. Sinusitis comes with halitosis(bad breath) If this doesn't help, then go see a dentist. Oh yeah. Gurgle with salty water and mouthwash. Salt has the best cleaning properties ever next to lime juice and the mouthwash will help clear up the halitosis.

You ask and answer question in same (stinky) breath, Grasshopper.

Floss, brush your teeth, scrape your tongue, rinse with a mouthwash of your choice. Avoid foods that make bad breath, like onions and garlic. If none of that helps, consult your doctor or dentist to see where the smell is coming from.

If you do a search on the internet using "bad breath" as your search term, you will find almost five MILLION references. Here's a good place to start:

The odors from garlic and onions enter your blood stream and then it takes a couple of DAYS before you breathe it all off. As you do this, you will continue to have bad breath. You can only use a mouthwash or breath mint (sugarless) as needed to mask the odor. I have read a lot of answers here saying to eat parsley to get rid of garlic breath, but I have no personal knowledge about that. Try it.

Usually the only time I have this problem is when I have an underlying dental issue. Try getting your teeth examined and cleaned at the dentist, floss every day, brush your teeth regularly, and scrape or brush your tongue.

I have noticed this problem occurs some times when I get dehydrated. If I am not drinking enough water, that can happen.

If basic dental hygiene and hydration do not work for you, you may have an underlying medical condition causing your problem. At that point I would consider going to a doctor.

Everyone has bacteria in their mouth, but when it overgrows, you get bad breath. So it's important to keep the bacterial growth in check by brushing your teeth at least twice a day. A large part of bacteria also grows on the tongue, so be sure to brush your tongue along with your teeth. It could be that you perhaps have dental issues that need to be looked at by a dentist, like an infection or an abscess that you're unaware of. Maybe you need to take better care of your teeth. Lots of times, bad breath comes from food pieces stuck between the teeth, but this is easy to get rid of by flossing regularly. Sugarfree gum also is very good for your teeth, because the sweeteners used in sugarfree gum actually help ward off bacteria for a long time. I hope this helps.
