There are kits at walmart I'm sure, they're not 200$, maybe 20 tops, the crest ones work, that's what I used.

I like Opalescence toothpaste. It's very gentle so it doesn't work overnight--give it a couple of months. But because it's gentle, it also doesn't harm the enamel or gums, which is always a concern. It's available at most large beauty supply stores like Ulta3 or various places online. It costs about $12. If it doesn't lighten them enough, then the best alternative is to go to a dentist for professional bleaching trays (a few hundred dollars) or a Zoom light treatment which is more expensive still.

I'm using a toothpaste right now that makes my teeth whiter than usual. the brand is Aquafresh and it says tartar control whitening.
