I haven't been able to go to sleep at night for about a month now. I lay in my bed tired, but I can't sleep. I'm 13, and don't want to take sleeping pills. What could cause this, and how else can I stop it (other than taking medication)?

so i noticed i was getting bad heartburn and decided to investigate a little because i noticed i was drinking water when it occurred almost 99 percent of the time, and just as i thought, for a few days i drank a few different things, then i drank one glass of water, and boom, theres the heartburn, and one coke later, it was gone, so WHY is WATER of all things giving me heartburn??

My daughter's doctor suggested she switch to soy, because she can't handle milk protien. She is 13 months. It's not a lactose problem, so Lactaid won't help. I've heard different things about soy, both good and bad. Can someone tell me what the benefits and drawbacks of soy milk/soy products are?

my 8 year old son just started midget football 2 weeks ago. This Friday he went for his ck up and had a hep A shot. That afternoon he had football practice and he had been practicing for hour and a half when he came to me and said he was feeling dizzy and seeing spots. Three other boys had headaches also. any suggestions on what could have caused the dizzyness and spots? When we got home and he cooled off the dizzyness and spots went away. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I am a worrier. Thanks!!

I want to talk to a psycologist BUT...

1. I've been sent to my school one and have had bad expirences. I got into fights with her. The rude, little son of a....

2. My parents will ask my why and what's wrong, but I don't want to tell them cause they will never let me leave the house again and plus their advice is weird.

3. When I go to school I am going to be a freshman in HS and I don't need people thinking I'm the weird girl who talks to the school psycologist

4. I don't want anyone who can/will call my parents for little things to think I am weird with crazy problems.This being the school psycologist.

ANy ideas?

My friend complains of being overtired.. this happens everyday.. no matter how much sleep he gets he wakes up groggy and sluggish.. he's a music teacher working full hours.. and during his weekends he is performing gigs.. he averages 5-7 hours of sleep per day. he had gotten the flu twice before this has happend and sometimes he wakes up with headaches and nausea.... what is exactly wrong with him?... why is he always tired and how can we cure it.. cos its driving me insane.

Heres the problem, a few days ago I noticed a smell coming from the bathroom. Today I got up and omg it is bad. We can't find where its coming from , all we can tell is that the main smell if from the bathroom. We think something died. I'm having severe pain on my left side (kidney) along with swelling and fever. My dr. ran an IVP since I had Kindey Stones removed last year, but I don't see anything on this report that explains my pain. It states "The film demonstrates a nonspecific bowel gas pattern as well as A film taken immediately after injection of contrast reveals prompt bilateral nephrograms and delicate Calices." My dr. was closed after my test was run and if I'm correct, I don't think the IPV showed anything and I'm still in major pain. Anyone out there that knows what any of this means, I would love to know before Monday if I'm going to have to do more testing or what. My rt. side is now tender too.

I have been struggling with mental health issues all over the spectrum I have tried several times to find a solution or diagnosis myself but obviously that hasnt worked out considering i am only 15 and no where near smart enough to know what my diagnosis is, i have a pyschiatrist but she just basically gives me medicine, i have been diagnosed with depression insomnia and anxiety problems and i am currently being treated for them but something is still wrong, should i go to a outpatient facility to have a pyschiatric evaluation and maybe then find what is wrong with me,

anyone that has had a pyschiatric evaluation at an outpatient or inpatient clinic please tell me how yours went and if it was the right choice,, thank you.

when i do crunches on the floor the end of my spine hurts so i do them on my bed I still feel the burn in my abs but should i do them on the floor or my bed to get better abs i get the burn in both spots but my tailbone hurts after like 20 sit ups. And is it alright to do bicep curls sitting down or is it better standing up.

when I wear my contacts my eye turns red and really sensitive to light. so I take them out and my eyes are still red and extremely sensitive to light. You may laugh, but I'm wearing sunglasses as I type because the screen burns like crazy. It's not pink eye...I was prescribed medicine for pink eye a month ago and wore my glasses for a week and a half while taking the medicine (and it worked). I threw away my contacts and everything I used with my contacts (the solution, the container...). I started wearing a new pair of contacts and it happened again! So I wore my glasses for a week and it went away without any medicine. Then I started wearing the contacts again and again my eyes turned red and really sensitive. I ended up throwing that pair and everything else away too. it's mainly in my right eye, but a little in the left. My eyes don't itch, they just burn really bad. i really don't have time to go the doctor with sports and clubs and school, but if this is really bad then I will.

I have really really really bad pain in my knees. ive dislocated both of them. but ive dislocated my right one really bad 3 times! my left one, i only dislocated once, two years ago...but recently i have been having alot of pain in it. ive got alot of pain on both of them. i went to the dr. and she gave me pain medicine...but its not working....
i got xrays done...i dont see them until monday....to see exactly whats wrong....
will she give me stronger pain medicine? or what?

the thought is:

what if when my mom took my dog out for a walk they didnt come back. and somehow in some crazy way possibly in some voo doo/black magic, they were replicated. so my mom and my dog arent realy my mom or my dog, but some type pf clones if you will
