the thought is:

what if when my mom took my dog out for a walk they didnt come back. and somehow in some crazy way possibly in some voo doo/black magic, they were replicated. so my mom and my dog arent realy my mom or my dog, but some type pf clones if you will

what are he flaws or inconstitensies in this idea that disproves it?

Capgras Syndrome is a delusion that one's loved ones have been substituted by close duplicates.

Overvalued ideas afflict people with OCD. They differ from delusions in being isolated and not associated with other psychotic features, mundane and not sinister, and associated with awareness of their falsity (insight).

The sole way to disprove them to the patient's satisfaction is to drive them away with medication. No argument will have any effect.

Well, if you're being serious that you keep having this thought I would say you might have some obsessive compulsive stuff going on. That one thought has just gotten "trapped" and it keeps recycling over and over. If it keeps up and you're having similar things happen I would talk to your doctor.

Just something else I was thinking after I read your additional comments. Are you taking any medication for your OCD? If so, maybe it needs to be adjusted. If not, maybe you should consider it. You know that it's illogical...you just need assurance that it really CAN'T happen...this is not going to happen, even if we could clone humans, why would somebody be waiting around for your mom and your dog to clone? Just fight the thought whenever it comes up..as many times as you have to. Eventually you'll beat it down...Good luck to you.

You may have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I knew a boy who couldn't stop thinking that his dad was going to kill God and start the end of the world.

He got treatment, and learned how to dissolve those kinds of thoughts. You are not crazy; it is a problem with the chemical balance in the brain, and it can be controlled through medication and behavior therapy.

The thought you have is not the point - the cause of it is, and it could be OCD. Talk to your mother and see about contacting an OCD therapist.

well, in all honesty, this sounds like ocd, but that doesnt answer your question

there are many flaws, though
1) how would you know? if they were exacticly like your mom, does it really matter
2) while its possible to clone dogs, it isnt possible to clone a human
3) if you think this happened, your crazy, which means that youre hallucinating, which means it didnt happen. so, it could never happen.

the fact that first of all there is no way possible to clone a person because we are to complex for someone to actually duplicate. second no one could just walk up to your mom and clone her it would be against the law.

If you are really, totally, completely convinced this is the case, it's called a delusion. Now, if it's something you just think about but know is not true, that's called imagination.

What I really think is that you should talk to your parents about it.
