My friend complains of being overtired.. this happens everyday.. no matter how much sleep he gets he wakes up groggy and sluggish.. he's a music teacher working full hours.. and during his weekends he is performing gigs.. he averages 5-7 hours of sleep per day. he had gotten the flu twice before this has happend and sometimes he wakes up with headaches and nausea.... what is exactly wrong with him?... why is he always tired and how can we cure it.. cos its driving me insane.

he doesn't eat right either.. well most of the time..... could it be his immune system?

Sounds like sleep apnea, does he snore? He may need a sleep study. Headache are cause from lack of oxygen. He might benefit from Provigil too, its a rather new albeit expensive drug worked wonders for me.

this could be chronic fatigue syndrome or Fibromyalgia. Your friend needs to see a doctor of rheumatology and get a complete examination.

A good nutrition program is very important, eating frequent small meals with some protein is very important in keeping the blood levels even And helping the energy levels .

He probably needs a multivitamin every day and perhaps more sleep as well. Some extra Vitamin C helps to boost the immune system.

Since he had the flu make sure his Dr. checked for mono as it sounds like it very possibly could be. If left untreated can cause other health problems. This is only found by a blood test.
