Ok so I'm 19 and not going to college. I dont have medical. And I think I have a tumor or cancer or something on the "left one" down there. I dont know what to do. Anyone know how much it would cost? I know they got the tests they have to perform, and if it was cancer or something there would be surgury like that how much you think it would cost? plus who would I go to in the first place? a urologist? (by the way I dont have a doctor either) could I just go to a walk in emergency room and get checked out? I'm so confused, advice would def. help.

My dad has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. I would like to throw him an elegant party with all of his closest friends and family. Any ideas on how to phrase the invitations? It will be a cocktail party--outdoors-- in August....Thanks

i go out to a farm sometimes and the ticks seem to love me, grose! and i know that if you put baby oil in your hair it prevents lice, but what about ticks, can i do this to. maybe not even in my hair but just on my skin. i hate them and they creep me out, but i still want to enjoy the outdoors.

I had a rash on my face, now the rash has cleared, but it left behind marks where the rash was. The marks are darker than the rest of my skin (my skin is brown). Will they marks go away?

I feel that the question that i asked before did not have enough detail as i am desperate for a solution,i am on an antidepresent called mitazapene,I have put on 3 stone since being onthis medication and need to know if weight can be lost whilst on it,i have tried to loose weight but not put that much effort in to it as people have said to me that you can not loose weight whilst on medication yet others have said that you can ,if someone tells me for definate that if i excersise more than what i do,and eat better than what i do then i will put my everything into it to do so.
i eat well and do not put much in the way of sugars and fats into my body and between having a 2 year old daughter and plenty of walking i am not idle i do try to keep active,so if anyone out there has any knowlege of this medication or experiances i would love to hear of any succes stories..thanks in advance...

She is 17, of normal weight and eats a balanced diet. I took her to the doctor and he ran lots of hormone tests, including one for thyroid. They did not find anything abnormal. Her scalp looks perfectly normal. Recently, her hair started coming out in handfuls. Should I take her back to the doctor again or to a specialist? If a specialist then what kind?

IVillage has a health calculater that will tell you if you need to lose or gain weight, how many calories you can eat. As well as how many fat grams you can consume. And lots more cool stuff. Check it out! For those of you who already use Health Calculators: Have they been invaluable to your diet and exercise program? What do you think of your figure being classified as an apple or a pear lol? And just how darn far do I have to get on my measurements before I'm a pear!! I don't want to be an apple. GRRRRRRRRRRR Here is the link to the Health Calculator. http://diet.ivillage.com/healthcalc

I wonder if what we are calling roid rage is a collection of codeveloping or preexisting mental disorders. It is possibly these disorders that lead to the use of steroids in the first place. I did a check on wikipedia.org and discovered "RR" is difficult to study because of coexisting cluster b disorders but what do you think? Is it real or is it the media?

*Note a former question with this title turned up the "best answer" that roid rage is comparable to other extreme drug withdrawls.

My husband got bit by a spider about an hour ago. As he went to put on his shoe he felt a sting & then he said he felt something move inside his shoe.. he freaked out & took it off, & when he did he seen the spider.. He shook it out without thinking, & smashed it to hell..lol.. but brown recluses are VERY bad in my house.. in fact, the only kind I've ever seen in here, well with the exception once of a wolf spider.. He went ahead & went to work, but I'm worried.. will the symptoms show up later? Will they not if it wasn't a brown recluse? I seen some pretty nasty pics of bites online.. & we don't have insurance.. that's why he doesn't want to go until it's serious, but how will we know & when?

I am having a pelvic ultrasound on Thursday because I have been having progressive symptoms such as:
Severe bloating, and painful cramping during my period
Cramps that start 1 week before my period and about 3 days after.
Cramps between periods that are very painful and go into my lower back and sharp pains in my lower abdomen that wont go away at all.
A feeling of pressure in my whole abdomen.
Pain during deep sex.
Pain when I have to go and when I am going to the bathroom.

Has anyone had similar symptoms and what were you diagnosed with?
I also have a family history of uterine fibroids and cervical cancer.

I have also had normal pap smears in the past.

You hear all these stories about how you can catch meningitus and how fast it kills you. Apparently it is contagiouse. But where do we catch it. From other people? from airporne pathogens? from surface germs? If we catch it from eachother and it kills quickly then how come we dont have meningitus outbreaks? How is it so easily caught yet so rare?
