Right away. Getting Progressively worse. I have been bitten
by recluses twice. The spider bites and injects the site with
his poison, which rots the meat (so he can eat it). The first
bite did not heal for a very long time, and became a health
threat. (they hide out in mail boxes) . I am recovering from the
second one (in my shoe while visiting) If your husband happens to be a diabetic, Please have him seek a medical
professional immediately. It can trigger gangrene in the foot.
The bane of diabetics everywhere. But even if he is not see
if the skin around the bite for about a quarter of an inch is
discolored and waxy looking. Have it seen to. Maybe the Public health clinic?

The bite is usually painless at the time of occurrence, becoming reddened several hours later. In some cases, painful ulcers and scarring can develop in the days following. I had a brown recluse bite on my elbow and it took 8 months to heal. It was an open sore that would not heal. I didn't go to the doctor but I'm lucky. Some people lose their fingers, toes and such.

A brown recluse is very small, about the size of a period like this ( . ) if you can see this, it's a recluse. I don't think your husband felt it bite him.
Most spiders have very small teeth, you can judge the bite by the size, it takes a big spider to bite through the thickness of human skin. He would have felt something within an hour.

I also got bit by a brown. I never got any noticeable signs at the bite sight so if it's noticeable at the bite sight he should go to the hospital. He will probably become tired for a few days, maybe even a week or so. If he gets worse and has fainting spells get him right to the Hospital. He might be allergic to brown spiders.

If he has any reactions, it will be this afternoon and there will be no doubt about where it came from because he will feel very sick and no maybe's about it. I got nailed by a recluse and knew by the end of the day that I was maybe not going to make it. There's a definite effect from the bite, not just an itchy,"I think I'm sick thing", you're dying!!

Most of the spiders are nonpoisoness, but still you should aware about anaphlatic reaction caused by spider bite. In anapylatic reation aware for swelling over local site , redness, blood in urine, any difficulty in respiration, if these symptoms occur than definitely go to doctor, otherwise no need to worry.

If he was bit by a spider and it hurts with a combo of itching, stinging or swelling, he needs to go to the Dr. immediately. I was bit by a brown recluse a couple of months ago, and I went to the clinic when I discovered it was a spider bite, turning red under both marks, but even after being on antibiotics for the toxins, I felt awful for a months after that. I was physically drained. It's not worth losing your health or you foot over.

They can get very serious. The bite rots the tissue from the inside out. It will just have to go through the process of looking worse then eventually getting better. You need to call your doctor and get an antibiotic just in case.
