I am my father's only child. He died 10 days ago at age 57, completely unexpected, of an apparent heart attack. We were very close. I am having a very hard time functioning with daily life and getting back to work, etc. I realize it has only been a short period of time, but I feel so completely lost, despite the hundreds of people (both family and friends) that have extended offers of help, etc. If I do daily functions and try to get back to normal, I suddenly realize he's gone again and the grief takes over. Any books? Any other words of advice?

does anyone with diabetes have this same problem?
i can lose about 10 or 15 pounds and then my diabetes kicks me and gets me down for the count, do you have this problem like i do and then find your self gaining it all back.
what have you tryed to help you with this.

I need to lose twently pounds, I was underweight and put on weight that bad way, such as eating foods high in fat and a lot of fast food, I need to lose all that fat and then gain my weight back with muscle mass, how long do you think this will take? To lose the unwanted fat? I'm going on a diet, 1,200 calories, no junk, lots of veggies, fruits subsituted for snacks, 8 bottles of water a day, that sort of thing
I've joined a gym and got a personal trainer, how long do you think it'll take for me to lose all this fat, 20 pounds?

Seems like at least once a week my allergies flare up at work; sneezing, sniffing, etc.

My room is quite bare, I do have a small palm tree in the corner, but I don't think they cause allergies??

Since the hot summer months began, the business next door (which controls the AC levels) seems to set the AC very high, so its always VERY COLD in the office...would a humidifyer help?!

My Boss is begining to think I'm allergic to work!! ;-)

I have been on Birth Control for 7 years, I also have Endometriosis, i have had 4 Laparoscopy's to have it removed.

A friend must convalesce for two weeks and is already really bored with TV. They have sore hands so that even holding a book, internet typing, holding a phone etc hurts after a short whle. I was only taking 0.25 mg per day, sometimes every other day....anyways, I cannot get advice from my doctor, as I have kaiser insurance and I am no longer a member, they will not help me in the least bit......I realize that I am not supposed to just go off of xanax, but I dont have any other choice, at this time I do not have medical insurance. kay.so i have this scar on my knee that is swollen up and it used to be normal. and i dont know how i got it either. my dads gf thinks its just an abnormal scar thats healing differently cuz she used to get them. but mine is weird. and it looks swollen around it now...that just now happened in the last week that i noticed and there is also a couple bumps around it. do u think its just a scar healing over or a tumor or something?? has anyone had any of these? what should i do besides going to a doctor which i may do if it doesnt start going away soon.

okay, all of the sudden i have been getting sick whenever i eat something greasy, fatty, or just plain not healthy. i havnt really been paying real attention to it untill my friend told me she has something SUSPICIOUSLY SIMILAR to it and it started right after i spent the night at her house. neither of us hav any eating disorder and we're both 13. [[in case that matters]] Pretty much the only thing i can eat is salad[[WITH OUT THE DRESSING!]] without getting sick. its really starting to drive me crazy. like, last nite i ate 1 oreo and a couple of cashews[[long story]] and i was sick all night. is something wrong with me? this has never happened before, so i dont kno. the only thing i can eat without feeling sick to my stomache is a salad with no dressing and a glass of water. [[NOT EVEN JUICE!!!]]. what should i do? how do i fix this? please help! and thankyou!!!!!

Are the fat calories what I should be more worried about? I dont think that would make sense though. :o\

Here's an example for something I just looked up...BBQ chicken sandwich at Carl's Jr. is 360 calories (40 calories from fat). It's definently one of the better choices they serve. But I'm trying to figure out what the "40" means exactly...could you help me out?
When you look at the Famous Star, its says, "660 calories (340 calories from fat)" What does this all mean exactly? How can I make sense of this andw hat should I be more worried about, to keep an eye out for???

I got elbowed playing basketball and my tooth went through my mouth. The outside got stichted up, but inside is a large oppen wound, about an inch long. I don't want it to turn into a giant canker sore so I want any advice on how to keep it clean an speed up the healing process.

My girlfriend went camping this weekend and got back yesterday. Last night we made love. Well this morning when she was getting dressed, I noticed there was a tick on her butt where her swimsuit line must have been. This means the tick was burrowed into her for AT LEAST 24 hours. I know she needs to go see the docter, and I am encouraging her to do so. I was hoping to get an expert opinion. What kind of viruses are found in wood ticks? Are the viruses contageous? I know the doctor will be able to answer all of these questions, I am just a little worried and want to know something now.
