it doesn't really hurt if you're relaxed .. calm yourself, breathe in & out, don't be tense and nervous because it'll just be really uncomfortable to slide the tampon in. tampon pearl is what i use, they're comfy, and they're quite easy to put in.

Tampons shouldn't hurt if you put them in correctly in fact you shouldn't even feel them at all. Just try relaxing your muscles and get in a comfortable position. It does take a few times to get them in right since its your first time, but once you get the hang of it, its easy. Also if you find it hard to use the regular size ones, sometimes in the varitey pack of Playtex the have really lite tapoms in them which are great for first time users.

Nope. It feels weird, yes, but it doesn't hurt at alll, especially with pearl. You just need to get over the initial sensation. My first time I used a little hand mirror so I didn't stick it in painfully.
Putting lubrication cream or vaseline on the tip of it really helps the first few times.

I use Playtex gentle glide and they don't hurt at all. The plastic applicator makes the insertion quick, easy, and painful. I never used pearl because of the way it opens or expands, it opens width wise. Playtex expands all around leaving no room for accidents.

It doesn't feel like anything for me, I was scared the first time too. Just make sure to put the cardboard part in first because otherwise the cotton feels really dry from being slid in by itself and hurts. If it does hurt when you try it, just take it out and try another.

it's a weird feeling at first,i was 28 before i was comfertable wearing them now i prefer them. if your period is light use pads cause if your vagina is dry it will be real uncomfertable. pearls are the best that i found to use.make sure you always get plastic applicators the cardboard ones are more uncomfertable

It shouldn't. When you first push it in there might be a moment of soreness, but that's it. If it hurts after it is inside you, remove it and try again. It wasn't in far enough.
Just read the directions that came with them, and you'll be fine.
