I have this problem real bad if not worse. Prior to 2005 i was type 2 diabetic. I wasnt eating right and was eating a lot of fatty stuff but maintained a weight of about 218lbs while on diabetic pills glucovance and some other one. Then in december of 2005 i had to get a major hernia removed. They took me off of diabetic pills and put me on all sorts of insulin and i started eating healtheir and leaner and gained weight to about 245. I am now 273! BAD! I'm exercising too and nothings working.

This is what im intending on doing when ig et back from vacation I will be discussing this with my Endocrinologist.

I'm looking into exenatide(byetta)

until and unless I kept my sugars under control I could not lose weight either, no matter how few calories I consumed. One has to keep strict control of the blood glucose, or the body will store every calorie it gets. I found taking Metformin to be all I needed to keep my morning glucose under 100 and the weight just melted off with diet and exercise.
