can you come down with a cold and get sick even though its summer and not flu season? and if you are what do you do if its not going away????

you absolutely can.

it's more likely for this to happen especially if you have sinusitis, or some reason why your immune system isn't working well, or just a plain ol cold. :)

if it's not going away, see your doctor. i'd tell you drugs to take but i haven't examined you and your doctor would be the best person for that. :)

of course you can catch the cold or flu in the summer. the viruses don't just disappear because the weather is nicer. You treat it just like you would in the winter, rest fluids, tylenol for fever and aches and you wait it out.
Both colds and influenza are contracted orally, it other words, you touch an infected surface and then touch your face or mouth and bingo, you are infected. That is why I carry hand sanitizer with me whereever I go, if I open a mall door, I use it, if I handle something in the store, I use it, and so on. And I am careful not to touch my face without first washing my hands. I have not had a cold or flu for the past six years.
