Cardio, plain and simple. You can do all the crunches in the world, but if you don't burn off the fat, you won't be able to see that six pack.
Try doing cardio for at least 30 minutes, three times a week. Five if you can take it. Couple that with low-weight weights (so you don't look like HeMan) and you'll be on your way.

If you want your calves toned, simply pop up on your toes 4 times, jump up and step outward (a jumping jack with your hands on your hips), hop up and down 4 times, and do 4 jumping jacks. That is one repetition of "the motivator". Do that regimen about 20 times. Or put your toes on a step and lower yourself down and then back up until you "feel the burn". For thighs, besides using a weight machine, use a stair climber or do "iron mikes" (walking lunges).
Crunches or sit ups for stomach...and actually, push ups too. If you do them correctly, they will tone your core.

Google cardio & aerobic exercise as well as strength training. You could try and get a free consult from a gym or personal trainer.
