The best position is the one that gives you the most rest. All else is irrellavent. If you wake up constantly, with back aches, or can't get back to sleep readilly, or any number of conditions related to discomfort, then you are not getting a proper rest.

One may change positions a few times per night and STILL get a good, comfortable night's rest.

Sleep in a position that feels comfortable. That simple.
