There are many foods that have few calories, but it is really important to get at least 1200 calories a day. If you don't meet this caloric requirement, it's possible to put your body into starvation mode, and losing weight will become nearly impossible as your body tries to conserve all resources. Some low-cal foods include: cucumbers, egg whites, clear-broth soups (watch the sodium levels with soups), popcorn (air-popped), broccoli, lettuces, spinach (good source of iron), nonfat & sugar-free yogurt, sugar-free jello, light versions of breads (often ~40 cal / slice), many lunch meats like turkey ham & turkey breast (watch sodium levels), and even sugar-free icecream (only 70 cal / serving). If you're dieting, be sure to get at least 1200 calories a day; the best way to lose weight is to eat sensibly and exercise at the same time. Also, be careful not to consume too much tea or coffee while dieting as both of these lower iron absorption (many people will drink these zero-cal beverages while dieting for an evergy boost).

There are heaps. The main low calorie foods are non-starchy vegetables, which pretty much mean all vegetables except fr potatoes, sweet potatoes nd pumpkin. This includes broccoli, cauliflower, celery, lettuce, tomatoes, capsicum, green beans, cabbage, bok choy, peas and corn. All of these foods are very lw in carbohydrates and have almost no fat. Peas(not beans) and corn-despite tasting filling and sweet are low-carb.
Fruits are also pretty low-calorie, but higher in carbohydrates, so in terms of low calorie fruits, they would be low sugar fruits such as melons, apples and pears.
Other low-calorie foods include anything artificially sweetened soda drinks, candy and chocolate-these have all the taste but none of the carbohydrates or calories. So this includes things like sugar free chocolate, diet coke, sugar free lollies etc.

All vegetables have few calories and they are nutrient rich. Fruits are nutrient rich but some of them can be high in calories such as bananas. Wassa bread, Fiber One bars, light wheat bread, fat free margarines, sugar free, fat free pudding cups. Learn to read the labels on products and make sure that for every 100 calories in a serving you get at least 2 grams of fiber.

A team at Pennsylvania State University found that low-calorie-density diets can help shed pounds and control hunger.
Low-calorie-density foods have high water and low fat content. They include fruits and vegetables, soups, lean meat, and low-fat dairy products.

The obvious is vegetables, fruits are high in sugar content-which means carbs which means calories. The other thing that I love to eat which has no calories are eggplants. Have fun and good luck~

But did you know celery uses more calories to digest it than there are in it, so eating it makes you lose weight. Also, almost all vegetables except peas, sweetcorn and pulses. Pitta bread and fish are low too.
