my 26 yr old son is a quad and is losing weight rapidly. we are having a hard time finding a way to weigh him. he's too heavy for me to lift. his dr advised us to go to a meat dept in our local grocery store. i was mortified that he would even suggest such a thing. i asked his staff if they could look into it and they really were no help at all. any suggestions? he weighs under 150 lbs at last check so he's not obese. also, uses a power wheelchair.

I want to lose weight (about 15 lbs), especially around my tummy and love handles. What exercises can I do and/or diets? Do sit ups helps? And can I lose 15 lbs over the course of three months? Thanks for you feedback. Have a great day! :)

People say ''eating junk food causes the majority of the population to become obese''. Thats a load of bullshit! I am a male and i am 18 years old and i eat like a pig...i live on curries and chips and southern fried chicken and the double quarter pounder when its avaliable at mcdonalds (i get the meal in large) and i am underweight.

I'm a 5'2" 13-year-old girl and I weigh somewhere in between 133 and 136. So yeah kinda on the overweight side. But i need to know if my diet over the past four days has been a little weird.

[B], [L], [D], [S]=Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snack

Monday: [B]small bowl of grits, one sausage patty, half of a peach, [L]grilled chicken salad, [D]fish stick, cereal, whole peach

Tuesday: [B]cereal, apple, [S]six crackers, half of a peach, [in between lunch and dinnertime]chinese, [later on]crackers, peach

Wednesday: [B]pancake, eggs, sausage patty, piece of biscuit and gravy, [L]apple (i know that was bad), [D]chinese

Thursday: [B]waffle with syrup, [S]cereal, peach (i just love peaches!), [later on] more cereal (love that too), [D]mac and cheese, apple, toast

*also i've been doing vigorous exercises

my friend was shot in the leg in an attempted murder. She was shot by her husband and lost her leg mid calf down.Her insurance does not cover a new leg. so was wondering if there is any type of program out there to help her buy a leg.

6:30am- 1cup special k cereal and 1/2 cup 2%reduced fat milk, 20oz water
7:30am frozen banana
8am 5 almonds and 20oz water
noon baby carrots [1.3oz=15calories] and 20oz water
5:30pm small salad[no dressings] and a Bigg orange, 20oz water
and now im about to go eat some Organic Quakers instand grain oatmeal [100calories]

ran 2 miles and a half
200jumping jacks
600crunches
and 30push-ups


what do you think/tips/suggestions..anything?....
f i'm missing something i absolutely need everyday..please tel me what name the food with less fat/cals/carbs/etc,,

i'm a 17 year old girl, 139 pounds, 5 feet 6 inches tall.

breakfast:
yogurt cup, 60 calories

lunch:
1 cup lettuce
1/2 cup fat free cottage cheese
1/2 cup skim milk
1 apple
6 baby carrots
6 cherry tomatoes
snap peas
green pepper

snack:
4 chocolate chip cookies .. i know, BAD

dinner:
low carb pita, 60 calories
boca burger, 70 calories
tomato slice
yogurt cup, 60 calories
orange
8 baby carrots

i think i got about 1000 calories, although it may be more with the cookies. eeeek.

exercise:
ran 45 minutes
biked 25 minutes
rowing machine 15 minutes
crunches 10 minutes
hand weights 15 minutes

will i gain or lose weight today?? or stay the same?

red and itches. Older lady can not take antihistimens. Could it be some sort of infection?But to start on one hand and then a few months later be on the other? Just seems like an allergic reaction. But she doens't think it is.

My previous prescription for my left eye was :
R: -4.00 +1.00 80
L: -2.25

However i had an eye test last 2 weeks and they told me the new one is:

R: -4.25 +1.25 85
L: -2.50

I m currently wearing a pair of glasses which follows my old prescription, how ever i couldnt really tell that 0.25 change on both my eyes when looking at things both near and far away from me with the old prescription glasses on.

1) Is this normal that unable to find out the difference of the 0.25, or it is just the error of the optometrist?

2) Is there any chance the eye test is not accurate and can only give out an approximate value??
